I was doing a backup of some renders from the early design days of the game, back in February, and I've found this test render.

The header image was going to be the cover of the game until I realized that the Ren'py menu was hiding Scarlett and the girl next to her. 

By the way, the girls between Scarlett and Saira/Eileen were the original designs of the first four students. In the end, not all of them will appear in the game as shown in this image. Some of them won't even be in the game.

I had a crazy idea where the cover of the game went from that image to this one as the player unlocked the paths with the different girls.

As I say, it was a very crazy idea that would have needed 4,096 renders because of all the possible combinations. And it didn't even cover all the girls in the game.

I could definately see that happening! But you haveta wait till the rest of the students get there so it can be a complete hamage to the game and your great artwork!

With all the girls in the game it would be 268,435,456 renders. It will take a while to render. I surely be dead for a long time by the time it finishes.

And you gotta bring back that unknown blonde bombshell!! She has to be one of the last group!! The Hot Chocolate Princess might make a couple of someones in the harem very jealous even though they both responded well to his harem so far. We ALL know who they are..

Not gonna lie, I'm a little sad those 4 girls won't be in the game as shown (or at all) as they do look pretty hot. That said I'm also a little excited to see what the new versions of them & their replacements will look like. Also, the idea you had about the girls on the cover image changing like that as you unlock them was really cool but I can see why you didn't go with it if it was that much work lol.

Don't be sad. Think that substitutes may be even better. At the time my reason for choosing the students was exclusively that they should be beautiful, and the Towel girl is one of the prettiest models in Daz for my taste. They were to be fairly flat characters, with one or two characteristics that set them apart from the others (a jock, an SJW, an exchange student, and a spoiled brat from a money family). But my wife had trouble telling them apart, and that made it hard to get attached to them. Besides, there was some technical problem with two of the girls: the model of the blonde girl next to Scarlett and the one of the Asian girl did not accept the product I have to add genitalia. It looked weird. The Towel girl will almost certainly appear, but I've looked for substitutes for the other three. The black girl disappears because, due to her skin tone, she was very difficult to light in the scenes where she appeared with lighter-skinned girls. Instead of her, I created Samantha and Simone, so we got a two for one, and they add a lot to the story (from v.0.5 onwards). Thanks to the two of them, Jamaal gains more depth. The cover image idea was good on paper but totally unfeasible. Each of those images took 4 hours to render (surely today it would take less with what I have learned about rendering with many characters), so rendering the 4,096 images would take about two years with my knowledge at that time. Currently, the game consists of 2,608 images, rendered over the last 8 months. Imagine almost doubling the number of images for the menu alone. One of my great, but unrealistic ideas.

Oh yeah, I fully expect the replacement students to be better, that's why I said that I'm a little excited to see them. The women/girls in the game are all very beautiful so far, so I trust your model choices. Especially considering how good Samantha & Simone look. Wow, yeah that would be way too much work for a main menu screen. It would indeed be cool but you definitely made the right call in not doing it.
