Content

Hi, I have seen that there are some Patrons who, when they cancel their subscription, indicate as a reason to cancel that "Tropecita Games wasn't as active as I expected".

I don't know if this is a general perception, if you would like me to post more things, or if I bother you enough.

Do you think I should post more? What do other developers you support do?

Leave in the comments what kind of content you would like me to post more often, please.

Maybe Once a Week?, or once every 2 weeks.

In my opinion the posting and release frequency is absolutly ok. If you have bonus contend "laying aroumd" please don't hesitate to post it. But don't allocate more recources in that direction. Your doing a rather fine job imho.

Edward Wolchick

I can’t vote here because I don’t agree with either choice. I second that you are doing fine as is and if you want to chat more I will note object but it is not needed

Freakinstein

No complaints here. Keep on truckin'.

BL4DE

The "Wasn't as active as I expected" is an idiot excuse. You are active way more than once a month like some other devs are that only post wallpapers and/or teasers. Plus you are active on the discord. Don't listen to morons.

Blkcrow820

I also think what you do is fine, doesn't need to be more or less.

Assassions66

I personally think how you are posting now is better as you split the game updates into 2 updates which is I'd say is better because it gives time to catch bugs/messed up wording also your doing a great job giving us the updates at a reasonable time period and you shouldn't rush your work

Vortex

you should have added a "you are doing fine" choice. I think you are doing fine with posting.

Michael O.

I don't really think you need to do more, but I couldn't resist calling you lazy ^_^

Raze Thorne

lo estas haciendo perfectamente

Dion Hyden

Now I'm goin to say post more you lazy but just so I can take out my frustration on to days that post maybe once a month but you my friend post fine not to much not to little

Tropecita Games

You don't want to see the content not published. It's horrendous for the most part. I have some test renders from when I was still designing the characters. I'll do another Back on the Day post in some days. You'll invent the time machine to go back into the past and kill me.

Tropecita Games

Basically, the options were Yes and No about if you think I should post more: Previews, Back in the Day images, Progress reports, etc. The lazy dev and the flood thing were a little joke. I'm every day on Discord (Tuesdays and Thursdays very little time because I'm at my office) and I answer every message I receive here. You are welcome to chat with me through both means.

Tropecita Games

Thanks, BL4DE, You know that chatting with players/friends is one of my pleasures.

Tropecita Games

I think the players who answered that in the survey weren't meaning the update cycle but the number of other posts like wallpapers, teasers, etc. Splitting the updates (0.4, 0.7, and 0.9) has been done because they came out huge (24K, 26K, and 48K words; 1,103, 1,542, and 2,628 renders) so splitting in two looked like a good idea so you didn't have to wait for too long. Now reading this, I realize that what seemed huge in July is a regular update now!

Tropecita Games

Thanks, Vortex, The doing fine is the second option, the "don't flood me even more" The question was if I should post more 🤣

Tropecita Games

Thanks, Michael, I'll take the lazy thing to heart and go cry in a corner. Oh, no, wait, I can't. I have to render Meemaw. 😉

Tropecita Games

Thanks, Dion, I try to post updates as soon as I have them ready. The average right now is 28 days per update. I think the players complaining in the exit poll were referring to wallpapers, teasers, and the like.

Edward Wolchick

I was saying that I am happy with your current posting rate and don’t need you to increase or decrease your posting rate. The choices in the poll made it feel like that was what the two options were. If no is keep it the same then I guess I am a no.

Vortex

sorry, thought it meant to post less, not flood my inbox lol. You are doing awesome though :)

Tropecita Games

Thanks once again, Vortex. I guess I wasn't clear with the answers. I wanted to give it a bit of humor, to avoid the impression I was whining, but it backfired as there have been a couple of players who didn't understand it. You know my English sometimes go on vacation and leaves me with messes like this 😉

Daxx

Like most of the others here I'm happy with the amount you post things on here, for me it's about the right amount. But I always have the option to jump on discord if I want more info as you've always been around to talk when I've been on (admittedly I haven't been on discord for over a month now but that's because I'm taking a break from a lot of online stuff for a while). Pro tip for anyone here that wants more information/interaction with the Dev - Join the Discord server! Trop is almost always around, super friendly (so is everyone I've spoken to on there), always seems happy to answer questions people have & just chat with us about various things.

Tropecita Games

Thanks, Daxx, you've been missed on the Discord server. I hope all is going well for you and your break from online things is not for anything bad. You know where you can find me if you want to chat. I've always said that chatting with fantastic people is one of the things I enjoy the most of being a dev. Uploading updates to different servers and updating the links is the one I enjoy the less 😉

Whitebeard777

That's weird cause you are one of the most active devs around. In my opinion you should keep it the way it is 🙂

Marlboro

A lot expect new updates as soon as they finished playing the previous one and only see releases as “activity”. Might to be easy to get how much work is hidden behind a 30 minutes update for those who only play. Easier to blame author that just admitting they a short in cash.

Roger_Welco

No idea what they are talking about. Out of all the dev i give my support to, you have to be one of the most active. Sounds like to me they just pressed the first option on the list.

fi

Hehehe ^^ No worries, i have good mental firewalls 😉 That doesn't mean that you have to post every testrender you still have archived though. ^^

Tropecita Games

Thanks, Marlboro. When I read about the activity, I thought about wallpapers, progress reports, etc, but I think you are right and maybe they referred to updates. Last two have been huge and took more than 30 days.

Tropecita Games

Thanks, Roger, Perhaps I was worrying about nothing and you are right.

fi

I totally agree 😀

Friend Of David

You are the most active dev I have ever encountered! Right now, you are the only one I am supporting at the moment.

Tropecita Games

Thanks, One of the things I like the most about this job/hobby is talking with you, guys. It's a pleasure to talk to so diverse people and learn every day something new from you.
