So I may have heard that it's sorta kinda bad?

Well, that sucks, since I waited almost a decade for it to come out :/

Sad but true 😔 Part one had some really good "And the moral of the story is" moments. The best one is what Joel does at the end. I can't quite put it into words, but it really makes you think and have a philosophical debate with yourself. Part 2 has no such moment. No morals, no life lessons... unless you count that violence and revenge is bad. Very, very bad. Really? Seven years of development and that's the best they've got? Anyone will learn that just from playing at one-on-one match of Mortal Kombat. Hell, just look at a picture of Scorpion and the message is clear.

It's actually bad? I heard about reviewers giving it zeros before even playing it because it has lgbtq elements. Whole different story if gameplay and character development are weak.

The main reason everyone is pissed is because there is no happy ending. The optimistic in me says man, what a bad ending. The storyteller in me, on the otherhand says, wow Naughty Dog got some balls to do such a depressing story. So there's that. Maybe we can see a fix fic from you Ignus, hehe. Tho I do recommend the game just for the gameplay and graphics. Seriously, the graphics of Last of Us 2 are currently the best for the end of the PS4 era

A fix fic is already forming in my head. Might give it a start if demand is high enough.

Haha, hopefully there's demand, still what's your opinion of a game making a depressing story? They got balls or they're just trying too hard?

There's no bravery or cowardice involved in choosing the tone for a story. It's a choice as simple as picking groceries. The problem in the end was the execution: the story is extremely inconsistent in its characterizations and its own themes.

I see, thanks for the input

Wow, you actually did it, definitely gonna have a look, thanks man
