"It appears you're trying to infiltrate this crime scene," said Burroughs in Jane's ear, just as she was about to leap out of her hiding place and knock out a C-Sec officer out for her uniform. "Would you like some help with that?"

"The fuck?!" Jane cursed, muttering under her breath as the officer walked out of earshot, and out of her reach. "Who the fuck are you?!"

"I am Burroughs. I am a program integrated into your DEMONICA. Do you need a C-Sec uniform?"

"Well, yeah, I do... and you just had to introduce yourself just as I was about to get one."

"Understood. Initiating Chameleon module. Please remove any garments of armour plating worn over the suit, please."

Before Jane could protest, her Demonica's outer skin began to shift colour and texture from a dull green plastic to the dark blue cloth of a full-body C-Sec uniform. "Huh. That's useful."

"Of course it is," said Burroughs, and Jane could detect more than just a hint of pride in her tone. "The suit has been optimized and configured for Infiltration and assassination. Speaking of which, I have this calibration questionnaire—"

"Later," Jane dismissed. "I got a job to do."

"...Understood. Updating quest parameters."
