So, what's been happening lately?

Well, I'm still contracted, and the work pays well, so that's good. Unfortunately, I've been suffering from some odd vision problems. Since the symptoms looked like diabetic retinopathy, I've had some blood work done and gotten a couple of eye exams.

According to the blood work, I am indeed diabetic, and that means some lifestyle changes. Doctor's got me on Metformin to bring my blood sugar down, and we'll see if that's working in three months. My case isn't severe yet: A slice of pie won't send me into a coma.

Good news concerning my eyes: it's not diabetic retinopathy. Bad news: the optometrist and ophthalmologist couldn't find anything visibly wrong with my retinas, and my vision problems are progressively getting worse... If this keeps going the way it is I may lose the ability to read, write, and draw within a year or two, effectively ending my career.
