Man, based on this review, I think these guys would really like the original Kane Pixels youtube video series. More of what they wanted from the movie. Edit: I finished the review. Rocco did watch them 👍

Ellipsoidz

Incredible these reviewers are only in their 40’s!

Shouts out Love Actually

I loved the backrooms, and i love how much there is to talk about in it. For example how it might allude to AI. I watched the two Twilight Zone episodes and Wordplay, the episode Shawn said was not scary was the scariest imo because that can actually happen to stroke victims.

Big Chesta

Real horror freaks are more than sated by Weapons and Backrooms.

shrewbu

So happy they reviewed this one - thank you!

You guys should watch John Carpenter's The Fog. It being an atmospheric ghost story feels like the kind of thing Shawn would love.

I agree on the aspect of wishing that it went more full abstract like the shorts. Part of me wonders if having a separate screenwriter was a compromise to make it more 'grounded' for general audiences. From what I understand Kane holds all of the series lore and consulted on the script but the screenplay is by Will Soodik.
