This was a revelation we had after watching NIRVANNA when we were silent and engrossed because it was a great movie

I would argue that Skinamarink is not dogshit as dogshit would imply something tangible was there. It's like a vacuum, or a complete absence of anything.

I didn't enjoy this movie, but I'm glad weirdo films like this get made. Like if this can get a release and find an audience, anything can.

i find it hard to dislike a movie, i'll always find something i liked about it. not the case for this movie though i finished and thought "worst movie i have ever seen". loved getting the boys commentary during it, made it better to sit through a second time. after it was over i still dont like it, but thanks for the commentary!

Tried watching this alone without commentary first, and I think I turned it off around the same time Derrick walked out.

I really like the movie (watched it alone at home in the dark stoned the first time) and it genuinely made me sleep with the lights on for two days after lmao. It’s undeniably a movie so Experimental that it at times it is miserable to get through, but at the same time no film has ever come closer to recreating the feeling of being in a nightmare, this feeling of total helplessness and deep, endless unease in this surreal hell. Just the experience of staring into a dark doorway and trying to make out a face appearing from the digital noise will stick with me. Not one I ever really recommend, but a movie I respect for creating such a genuine reaction out of me

From what I’ve seen, there are two types of people who watch this movie. Those who go to horror movies to be entertained, and those who go to ask their own questions. Being told a story, and trying to make your own story. Neither is a bad way to enjoy the movie.

I think I originally turned this off 15 or 20 minutes in? I wanted so hard to like it, but I just remember thinking that if there were actually toddlers trapped in a spooky house they'd just be sitting around screaming and crying the whole time. After that I could not remotely take it seriously - when characters act like set pieces to move the plot along and not actual people I'm done.
