Welcome back from our holiday weekend! What level are YOU on? Well, hopefully you can join us on the top level as we drop a huge Mega64 Movie Club dump on everyone below (wow this is a HORRIBLE intro). We watched the bizarre, creepy Spanish thriller "The Platform." Was it a connectable tale about societal structures, or was it a gross slab of food scraps? Join us as we all dine on it for the first time!

Next week's movie is BANSHEES OF INISHERIN.

this was a great ep! also, if you want a real head trip... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Next_Level_Chef_(American_TV_series) fox and Gordon Ramsay basically turned it into a cooking competition show where the top level get first pick at ingredients and top of the line cookware, middle level gets the basics (and top's leftover), and bottom level gets busted ass tools and the scraps. you know, an insightful, harrowing movie about societial failings... turned into a fun cooking show!

loved the discussion here! Especially Shawn pointing out how expansive a movie with basically 1-2 sets can be, and the treatment of the symbolism. I just watched Banshees this week so I’m really excited to hear what you all thought of it!

San Diago isn't a border town! Chula Vista is on the boarder. These San Diago people are trying to erase us from Chula Vista.
