Hello patrons!

I'm making this poll available only to the neonate+ patrons because you are the ones with access to the most recent version of the game. Some people have complained of the cost of stamina on the attacks. So I wanted to explain how it works right now:

Kalyskah total stamina is: 75 + ( Dexterity x 5)

Most of the attacks are consuming 12 of stamina. This means that if the player puts 5 points on stamina, she will have 100 of stamina, being able to make something around 8 attacks before running out of stamina.

Evading costs 10 of stamina, which is recovered before the rolling animation even ends

Stamina cost to block is 40% of the damage Kalyskah would be receiving (in the future we might make that this percentage changes depending on the weapon you are using.

Kalyskah regenerates 50 stamina per second. And stamina regeneration only starts when the attack animation is almost done, so you won't regenerate stamina during combo chains.

With all of that said, I wanted for those who got a chance to test version 0.13.1 if the game is currently comfortable to play, considering that increasing your stamina will slowly make Kalyskah able to do more during combat.

About changing stamina amount depending on the difficulty you are playing:This would complicate things on the programming side and I really don't think it's the best way to solve the situation. Because this would make the game extremely hard to balance, we would need to test it several times and in several different game modes.

About the Poll:I've put some options on this poll for you to let us know your thoughts. Note that I've added an "I don't like" and an "I like" option for each of the things I mentioned above, and my intention is to know exactly what is working and what is not working. So please, check one yes or no for each part of the stamina system so I can better understand your general opinion.

Personally, I think the stamina cost to dodge should be half or less than blocking, but also maybe make the dodge distance shorter to not pull one out of attack distance, depending on the situation of course.

You can always look at how other games manage this (if you want to look at some hardcore combat, check out Vermintide 2 - I can explain this more later if you want), but I don't think punishing players for blocking by taking significant stamina would be fun. Here are some ideas: regular blocking costs a little bit of stamina, and it costs more if you keep chain blocking (so someone doesn't just spam block); blocking once stamina is out should be possible, but doesn't block 100% damage.

I feel like the delay between stamina regenerating is too long, it might just be my playstyle but it seems to take forever to regen stamina

Dodge? Block? Never used it. I'm playing for VAMPIRE. Hunt down a lonely victim, sneak up and dry it with one bite ... Can't understand why i should fight my food face to face :)

Fights are a bit messy for me. Would it be possible to make them more "playable" ? Actually, battle is more "clic clic clic" like a lunatic on my mouse... ;)

Kalyskah stamina recovery should be less effective by daylight. Also, this could be amended with special skills in the skill tree (a dark way with inherent skills maximising her letality by night or in dark places, and a bright way with other improvement vs daylight).
