[Poll] Modular Events or More Quests?
- More random events (Slows down Prologue storyline, chose wisely!) 16
- Finish the Prologue quickly (Adds less time of gameplay each patch until the prologue is done but will get us to the main game earlier) 96
Hello Patrons!
We have many quests planned, some of which are even voice-acted already. But the process of adding them to the game is a bit slower than adding random events because quests require cutscenes.
Our plan for the prologue is to try and finish the main quest as fast as we can so we can reintroduce the old world as soon as possible. Then I saw a comment posted by our patron Ricochet, showing interest in random events like people in distress, or maybe bandits around, etc. Those could be added every once in a while as we wait for a cutscene to be complete, but there's also the possibility that instead of focusing on main quests, we focus on that until the game has more replayability. So I was wondering: how many of you are interested in this type of modular thing and would be willing to wait more time for the main story to be complete, but would like to play the game for longer?
This poll can give us a sense of priority; if you would rather see us adding some random events to add movement to the world, we can consider working on a few of them earlier than originally planned.
There is an important thing to say: If we do go this route, it will take longer to finish the prologue. But on the other hand, we would be implementing other things for you to do while waiting for the next story patch.
Important to say that we have a solid plan to finish the prologue, and I would only touch that plan if the random events win this poll by a large difference.
