Now you’ve got my super hyped about a fishing video dude. Like that’s gotta be one of the best videos you’ll ever make imo is a good fishing video. a cool 45min video of catching lil dinks and smoking doinks. have an idea of what type of fish you want to catch. Then look up how to catch that fish. Make sure you got the proper sized rod and reel for what you wanna catch and the right fishing line. small fish fishing is super fun. Bass fishing is great and they put up a stronger fight then the smaller crappie or sunfish. catfishing is awesome and you’ll definitely need to be committed to the fishing if you wanna get a rod reel and braided line for that caliber of fishing. Trout in the river is awesome just make sure you get your trout stamp and know your limit. time of year dictates what bait or lure you stick on your line. for crappie and sunfish get real worms and get em on hooks. Bass you can do damn near anything worms or the better cheaper option for bass imo are plastic baits. Either plastic worms crawdads sinkos or like a crank bait or spoon bait or top water frog. Ive caught lil bass with a top water mouse before and it was neon green. gotta learn your colors for the seasons and give yourself a few different options. That’s something you have to do. you gotta have options and know them. because one bait may do nothing but as soon as you switch to another then the fish start biting it like crazy. It’s spring almost summer. So YouTube how to fish in this weather and what works best for most people. Do that before you buy baits hooks and line. you can get a rod and reel that can be a hybrid set up for little fish and medium size bass. Eventually though you want a pole for smaller fishing and another pole set up for medium to large fishing. cat fishing falls into large or even extra large equipment. don’t get a baitcaster reel d as you’re first set up. You won’t have fun with that kind of reel. They tangle up easy, you get a birdsnest fast if you don’t know what you’re doing, and they just aren’t beginner friendly. A zebco covered reel is a classic choice. Your grandpa used one. My favorite is a spinning reel so it’s like an open spool reel set up. but a zebco closed reel is 100% what you want to use first time. Just make sure the line on it isn’t shit and the correct weight rating for what you want to fish for or just put your own new line on so you know the lines good. I used mono filament i believe. You can use braided if you want but it’s a much heavier line for bigger fish typically. there’s so many options and set ups. Hopefully this comment helped you some
