Developer Update #20 (Patreon)

Hello everyone, long time no see.
In today's update we'll be going through the progress on V6's development, the plan for the upcoming Beta test for V6 and some juicy teasers. The beginnning of the year was very demanding of me due to IRL stuff, nothing bad albeit quite stressful and time consuming. I found myself getting anxious about not working on the game as much as I wanted, however once I managed to figure IRL stuff out I've been working on the game regularly.
So far my main focus was on Astarte, I've got almost all stuff rendered out save for one scene that proved difficult to pose out. On the implementation side of things I've programmed in about 90% of the scenes for Astarte, remade her fighting mechanics: both her existing Bloodlust mechanic and how she uses shards she summons in the battle. The Wrath mechanic (formerly Bloodlust) is essentially the scale of how angry she is during the battle. It will both respect the stuff happening outside and inside the battle. For example, dealing her damage in battle will increase her anger, even more if she was dealt water or holy damage. Outside of battle she will react to stuff like the outcomes of the Liliett's classroom event or the outcome of the Clearspring Village raid. Her Wrath powers her up, changes which moves she uses and unlocks some of the more powerful moves she has in her roster. To decrease her Wrath players will have to succumb to her temptation moves, get drained or obey orders she can now issue in the battle.
Her shards got an upgrade too, they now have different charge stages that trigger different effects when used by Astarte.
I'm planning to release a test version of her battle as well as a small slice of the content she gets in V6. Right now, I'm in testing stages, making sure the functionality of the her battle is in the right place.
In parallel, I've also started working on scenes/movesets of the enemies like the Jailer Ghost and Chantrea. Additionally, I've worked on the blacksmith Rhodea and Shyaris, the undisputed winner of the latest poll. Chantrea's moveset is now fully planed out, with few moves tied to her vampiric powers and some tied to her profession. I've also decided to give her some of the hypnotic powers vampires have in some of their depictions in fantasy.
Anyways, here are some spicy teasers of what's coming in V6.
Hope you like what you see :)As for me I'm glad to be in full swing again. I'll catch you soon.
Cheers!
