Hello!

So in my last update I mentioned how I was pondering how to proceed in light of the fact the story currently has unfinished paths and how I am planning on having multiple branching storylines. i find myself facing two major choices:

Focus on writing one storyline at a time, writing each branch to its conclusion before moving to the next, or:

Write each branch to a certain point, focusing on providing the full range of choices and each major update would focus on bringing each plot line to a semi- consistent end, so a player has choice even if it takes a long time for any given branch to reach a definitive conclusion

I want to hear from you all. Both options are viable but they do require a different approach and also means that endings and story wrap ups will be available at different times.

Please vote if you can!

I think you should focus on making the strongest story you can rather than getting bogged down in alternate pathways. Finishing one solid storyline will not only help keep you from getting discouraged, but it will probably make it easier to see how alternate paths might play out.

I will give till the end of the week (14th) to get the votes, so no rush!

I agree. Focusing on many branches can make writing harder, as you need to track all the pathways and try to keep them consistent. Many other VN:s that have different pathways have multiple writers. Doing so on your own can feel discouraging when story seems to progress slowly.
