SLARPG Pages 5-8 Pencils (Patreon)

The next four pages of the SLARPG prologue pencils, written by Bobby "Ponett" Schroeder and drawn by me "me" me! (Read the finished thing here if you haven't yet!)

Misc notes:

• Proud to call Allison's fishing shirt my contribution to the writing of this comic. The script just called for a second happy memory of Melody and Allison together; when I asked Bobby for ideas, she suggested a memory of clothes shopping. "Allison finds a funny fishing shirt at the thrift store" sprang fully formed from my mind immediately, and she liked it

• I will neither confirm nor deny that a severely blown out screencap of the sims was used as perspective reference in a pinch on page 5

• The cameos on page 5 were picked by me! The orc on the right sits in Higgledy Piggledy's in-game (though I moved her to another seat, which I hope somebody documents as a continuity error on a wiki). The kid on the left is Pepper, a little girl who, in Bobby's words, "wants to grow up to be evil", so, I just wanted an excuse to put her in.

• Page 6 makes absolutely no physical sense. Based on the staging of page 5, the wall of the restaurant should be immediately to Melody's right, but Claire slides in from there anyway.  I thought about reworking the page to make it make sense, but sometimes it's just more important that the poses are fun and the dialogue flows naturally. The staging of Claire sliding into the booth, bumping into Melody, and triggering her to spit out her drink was important enough to me that I decided we could bend the literal space a bit.

• A funny quirk of me working on this comic is that I've been so busy drawing SLARPG that I have not actually had time to play the game's beta, which went out to Patreon supporters (like me) before launch. If you subscribe to both me and Bobby on Patreon it's highly likely that you know more about the game than me! No spoilers!
