Oh, if you are interested in WW1 setting for A&C, you might want to check out the "Strange Moons" fic series by racketghost on AO3. All of the works except for the long last one are set in WW1, and some very powerful stuff there. Racketghost apparently knew quite a lot about the history of the era.
