Maybe Crowley is making Aziraphale unconscious before something worse happens to him, like another demon tempting him? Crowley could think it's the best he can manage with Beez pulling his strings, but he knows the angel will see it as a betrayal. Am I close, Alice, or have you thought up something worse for us?

Don't worry, Aziraphale is not in danger - Crowley wouldn't have left him in a dangerous situation. He thought of consequences, Beez or other demons won't touch him. Tempting Aziraphale was a Crowley's duty. He left him because he doesn't want to tempt him; a simple kiss doesn't make an angel Fall. But Crowley (and Beez neither) can't imagine that Falling is not the only possible ending when there's love.

Aziraphale's problem in this story is his own love for Crowley. The demon wants to keep him away, because he knows he couldn't stop himself from tempting the angel. The other demons won't be happy when they discover he left Aziraphale. Beez is watching them, but they can't do anything. In the next part you'll discover what really happened to Aziraphale, but it's something neither Crowley or Beez expected.

I think Az is going to be MAD. He’s told Crowley over and over that it’s HIS choice to be with Crowley and Crowley just took the choice away from him.
