No, really. He’s not depressed but I AM. Covid (I think it’s Covid at this point) hasn’t left me and now both me and my mom are stuck in our house (at least it’s comfy) BOTH ill. Short vacation ruined. But what’s driving me crazy is that I’m basically DEAF due to, probably, the cold itself. I’m pissed and depressed. The world seems to be far away from me. I tried to draw but ended to throw a pillow away, I’m REALLY stressed 😩😩😩 sorry for the rant. Have this proud Oscar with his proud Swallow. 💚 GHJKUYSGJJJHHH

Alice, take a break. Drink lots of fluids. Get lots of rest. Have you tested for covid to be sure? If it is, you need to get meds prescribed for it.

No haven’t tested yet, I’m feeling better today (except the cold and my ears). I got meds and they worked, on my mom too. We’re not able to travel and I guess we’ll just stay home. I’m just really pissed but I’ll try to be more patient. What can we do after all 🤷‍♀️

Sending you a hug, friend. This will pass. Drink something warm, lie under a fuzzy blanket, read or watch something easy. Take the meds. You will feel better in a few days. You can take the vacation another time, yes? Be good to yourself now.

I had it last week and it made me deaf as well! It abated quickly though- I felt fine within a week. Sorry it ruined your holiday though 😞

Dropping in to give my usual homily since I have been following social media about Covid very keenly -- you have to look at social media of concerned doctors and patients, because public health agencies DO NOT give much useful information. DO let yourself rest as much as possible and then rest more after you think you don't need to. Like for about a month of slowing down. Everyone who has been through it and compared notes agrees that this is important to avoid having symptoms hang on and on, or return. And stock up on good masks (N95) and wear them wherever you are around other people, with the new virus strains it doesn't keep you much safer any more if it's outdoors, so you don't have to catch it again. We care about you!
