it JUST occured to me which other artist your color reminds me of. It's Daniel Acuña's fully painted comic book panels, especially in his 2005-2010 era issues for Marvel. I thiiiink he worked traditionally in gouache. Your colors and the way you abstract are a little similar I hope you like him if you look him up :)
