So I tried everything I possibly could to get rid of the buzzing in my mic (new cables, new audio interface, moving wires around, trying different ports etc) BUT IT'S STILL THERE!!

So before I try and record some ASMR for you, I just want to hear your feedback and opinions on the audio quality.

Is it too annoying? Can you tell it's still there? Are the noise reduction filters too obvious?

Or do you not really care?

I don’t really hear it tbh, I think it’s low to the point where if you don’t think about it, you can’t hear it

AliSMR

That’s good to hear. It is possible I could be overthinking it

For me it's obvious without the noise filters and while it's not bothersome, I imagine hearing constantly in the background would drive me insane, but with the the filters on I still hear the noise, but I'm not sure if it's actually there or if I'm just imagining the noise.

AliSMR

Maybe once I add the sound effects and ambience to my ASMR, you won’t notice it as much

I honestly don't hear any buzzing with the filter or without. Oh God, am I deaf?!

AliSMR

You can only really hear it through headphones

Rouge Artist

I can hear it without the filters and with the filters its slightly faint, but it can easily be overpowered by background noise. But I am someone with somewhat hypersensitive hearing so I tend to pick up on low tone noise that others can't. I also have some A/V audio experience and seeing what you've replaced and swapped out so far it sounds like your microphone could have a loose body mount or it's case isn't fully grounding? I've ran into a similar issue with my condenser mic ring mounts and its base plates loosing up slightly because of them.

I even tried switching to a completely different backup microphone, and the buzzing was still there :(

Without the noise filters it'd drive me absolutely insane, but with the filters it was significantly better. With some added ambiance/background noises I think it'll be pretty much unnoticeable? Not sure I'd be able to notice it tbh

I could not hear anything besides your voice, but that could be because I use in-ear headphones

Charlie

It sounds just fine to me, Ali. Second version sounds just a little bit better. X.

With filters and you talking its not really noticeable at all to me. You have to be looking for it. Most people will only be paying attention to your lovely voice ☺️

Ali in all honesty it sounds perfect to me, I'm using Mpow Bluetooth earbuds and it sounds great, I do have tinnitus and normally buzzing in audio word affect it but this didn't, so it's all good.

Krokus

It is not louder than my tinnitus, can't hear it at all on the filtered version.
