Not really serious theory/analysis: The “guy” in first panel seems to have a sort of “evil-ish” kind of expression (eyebrows angles, plus mouth in smile shape while talking), plus the woman’s expression (while leaning away), implies he is abusive to some extent, if only verbal. In the second image, the woman looks happier and is leaning back towards the now shorter girl. The shorter girl is now showing an embarrassed/shy expression (while looking away, though that is part of expression of those emotions), though she is still the “big spoon”. Theory: The trans woman was unintentionally abusive/antagonistic bc that was how they were shown/told that that is how a man acts (eg. dominant/commanding/in charge/etc). Now, after realizing they’re trans and taking the pill (could have been opposite order), they have also realized that they’re not dominant at all, and while the overall dynamic between the two changed, they both still like being in the same “spoon” positions, which is often uncommon in that kind of situation (mainly the dominant/submissive part). Or at least when it’s portrayed; so it adds some uniqueness to their relationship. I just got a mental nudge to write out the not serious but detailed analysis my brain came up with when I saw it. Bit bored atm.
