Thirteen Feet of Love (Patreon)

Since the dawn of time, giants have held an important place in the legends of France. But among the gigantic creatures most commonly found in the tales and folklore of its many regions, ogres are by far the most prominent.
Long ago, they lived alongside humans, sometimes regarded as admirable beings, and sometimes feared as terrifying monsters. Nowadays, humans and ogres try to coexist peacefully, despite the old stories and prejudices that continue to divide them.
Groac’h is one of these ogresses. At only eight years old, she was already six feet tall and looked more like a human teenager than a little girl. Yet she still attended elementary school, just like every other child her age.
Unfortunately, her classmates refused to accept her. They were afraid of her because of all the frightening stories about ogres their parents had told them. As a result, Groac’h often remained alone, kept apart from the others.
On Valentine’s Day, all the children exchanged chocolates and small gifts. All of them except Groac’h, who sat alone and ignored in a corner of the playground.
Until Arthur, a little boy her age, found the courage to take the first step and offered her a chocolate bar.
From that day forward, the two children became the best of friends. Then, as they grew older, their friendship slowly blossomed into something much deeper.
Even though Groac’h eventually grew to over thirteen feet tall by the age of eighteen, their difference in size did nothing to change the feelings they had for one another…
Quite the opposite, in fact—it only made Arthur even more interested in her.
