I know everyone wants gohan to fight and im one of those poeple, but when you see gohan happy like this I sorta like this life for gohan. Gohan has the most potential out of the Z fighters yet i feel as if he doesnt enjoy fighting like the others at least not as much as them I assume.

Teen Gohan was able to surge with immense power while appearing normal to people because his power was locked behind emotional triggers, specifically rage. Due to being half-Saiyan, half-Human. He acted as a normal, gentle child because he lacked the instinctual desire to fight, allowing him to suppress his immense, latent potential until extreme danger triggered his latent power.

Fun Fact: the Green character that was introduced (zamasu) was voiced by James Masters who played Picolo in the live action dragon ball movie , and he did this role completely for free because he felt that the live action movie was a disgrace to the DragonBall series and wanted to make up for the live action movie.
