This episode was perfect. The intro for this was getting more explanation of the soul king. Ichibe and Ywach meeting each other from the past to now was peak. The strong has gathered in one sitting. Ōetsu Got to shine was amazing for him to test his strength.

This new anime exclusive scene in the beginning adds more to the lore helps us understand why Yhwach & Aizen feel the way they do towards the Soul King and the Society itself as a whole. I really can't blame them.
