Road of a Goddess 2 and Updates (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone!
We recently released v0.2 of "Blessing of the Princess" So this post is to update you on what I will be working next.
I'm working on a v0.2.1 of BOTP to fix some bugs and oversights, I also want to add an option to be able to replay the cheese making mini game after finishing the second boss fight.
I will be working in parallel on the three game projects, BOTP, SOTG and ROAG2, but BOTP will drop in priority (other than fixes) for a bit while we focus more on the other two.
ROAG 2
Currently I'm working on a Feature Demo for ROAG2 that should be ready this week to celebrate Mexican Independence day, and you can see screenshots of what I've been working on.
The canals of Las Diosas will be one of the main locations in ROAG2, this is where the girls lived in the first game and was heavily featured in ROAG, this time of course I want to increase the level of detail of the area.
Las Diosas is based on an area of Mexico City called Xochimilco, this place is known as the mexican Venice due to it's canals, it is way less urban than venice but there are some areas where houses and neighborhoods are near water.
I am starting with the more wild parts of the canals, the ones more heavily covered by vegetation.
I keep my use of 3d assets not made by me to a very low amount, but to add more variety to this place I will be using a bit more than usual, but it should be only for things unrelated to gameplay and mostly for plants which are unusually difficult to make.
As you can see, the weather effect is already working in ROAG2, but the swimming mechanic will be added later since I'm still wondering how I will deal with water in this area where there is a lot, since I still want water to be an early obstacle my plan for now is to add murky water sections and sections with plant tentacles to play with (underwater sex scene). If you played BOTP v0.2 I made the first water you encounter not swimmable because it's too cold, which allowed it to remain an obstacle. Another difference is that Montse won't be able to swim at the start of the game since she will need to learn, just like how Alfie will need to learn a way to swim in ice cold water in future versions.
The other level I'm working on is a section of the mines covered in magma, there you can use Montse's hammer riding technique to traverse this hazard,
This mine level will be a test of Montse's demolition techniques and the canals will be more of a test for Jacquelyn
This new demo will feature this very early look at the canals as well as the new segment of the mines, so it's like a continuation of the current last demo.
SOTG.
After the next ROAG2 demo is ready, I'm thinking my focus will shift to SOTG, since it's ben a long time since the last version.
SOTG will probably become the more linear of the projects which will hopefully make it easier to develop, there will still be things to explore like you were able to explore Serpenthes, the city on the desert.
I plan to add a version of the cheese minigame in Serpehtnes, so we can finally make cheese with Crania's milk, and maybe a few sidequests in the same area before tackling the next levels which will require visiting new worlds.
After that we might re-visit the aztec world or maybe a refreshing new world to add variety while we leave the aztec world for a later version
