Just a reminder that we will be back to regular schedual when February starts. So, the Character suggestions and Polls will be happening again at the start of the month.HOWEVER, A few changes that i'd like to mention.Character suggestions: I think I'll go back and try haveing an OC (original character) month.I enjoy animating OC's, it breaks things up and gives a nice surprise to their creators. Where the polls are popularity based, lets be honest, theres no way an oc is going to out do whichever character is popular at the time. So, will leave them out and have a month to have them be the focus. (maybe... June?) General Art: I don't think i really want to do many rendered pieces this year. I might do one here and there but I feel like i could be spending the time better.... okay, well I just want more time to animate where I can. And rendered/ those soft shaded arts I do take up way more time than they shouldWhat I MIGHT try instead is to make some rough sketches of the runnerup characters in the finals polls. For instance. Erza, Frieren, Tatsumaki and Chun-li were in the feburary poll finals. I could try some sketches of them for the weeks I dont have an animation to post.Let me know what you think on that last point.I appreciate all the support everyone of you gave this past year! And get ready for some new and exciting animations to come!

These are all fair points! I like the OC month idea, and the changes in art pieces to allow more animation time makes sense, especially given the continued improvement of animations. Looking forward to another year here

The last point was fine, I was not disappointed with the last point, Fudge. I'm looking forwards seeing the February schedule, good luck, mate ! 🫡

I am fine with runner up sketches as long as I can keep putting the runner up characters in and vote on those runner ups in the animation poll until they win and get a animation.

Have you blocked video downloads altogether? I can't download videos from Deviantart.

Ehhhh, I dunno about that ^_^; I mean, I'm fine with the idea of runner-ups getting sketches - but if it doesn't have any kinda cap or limiter, I'd worry it run the risk of a handful of popular characters soaking up all the votes and constantly getting content over others, even if they don't get animations. Not gonna try to assume what's best of course. Just voicing a possible worry I could think of.

It's what I was concerned about also but if I have to choose between getting a sketch and potentially getting an animation I still choose an animation. Though maybe if there was a cap for the runner ups getting sketches but not putting them out of animation polls so they can still win a animation could solve the problem.

I dunno if that'd solve the problem so much as potentially cause a different one, though ^_^; Think of it this way; if a character is allowed unlimited re-entry to the animation polls... would that not feel like a bit much if the the same character had also been getting consecutive sketches? There's been characters who've made the top 5 consecutively like Erza, for instance - even if they're not getting animations, they're still getting more content. So if you let them stay eligible for animations even if they get multiple sketches beforehand... I dunno, I guess it just like it'c compound things. Granted, I can't say for sure what would work best or not. But as far as what I'd do personally... honestly, I think any character who gets 2-3 consecutive runner-up sketches, or repeated runner-ups in a short timeframe, might warrant a cooldown from the polls the same as the animation winners. Otherwise some might see it as an exploit to get extra content for a character by just always pushing for them to be in the polls. But again, that's me personally - I dunno what works best for Fudge.
