I get that things don’t always go to plan, but for a paywalled podcast that I’ve been supporting at $6 a month, I was expecting at least a little effort — especially since there wasn’t an episode last week. Disagree with Mika. I think Blood Meridian is a hauntingly beautiful book. Although, it wouldn’t be the first book I recommend people because it’s dense as fuck. Definitely not for people who are squeamish and for people who aren’t willing to read critically (there are plenty of edgy teenagers that glorify its violence).

exactly. don’t get me wrong — I like the casual vibe of the regular episodes, and when they paywalled the podcast, I figured, okay, I’ll pay $6 a month for my silly little podcast. but now they only record twice a month, and it feels like they’re squeezing the podcast in at the end of these long recording days when they’re already drained and just don’t want to be there. I get that they have a pretty busy schedule, but even a little effort in planning the podcast would go a long way.
