Go to the membership tab (At the top of the page right under "sleep deprived" and next to about, same on mobile). Scroll down past the details of whatever membership you have and past "Listen on other podcast apps." You should see a section that says "discord community" click on the button that says "connect to discord" and authorize patreon to connect to discord. Next time you open you discord the podcast should be in your discord groups, it has the sleep deprived icon as the image for it.

I totally get what you mean. However, the games still refer to them as "birdo" (you can see this in their recent video on the character select screen) and it's never made clear if it's also the name for the species (like "yoshi") as there have been instances where there are multiple in the same shot. Therefore, I think it's more on Nintendo for not making Birdetta's name clear than Aztro not knowing this fact.
