WHAT REACTIONS DO YOU WANT TO SEE? (Patreon)

Hey friends!

So here is the total, absolute truth - finances are rougghhhhhhhh for me right now. (Like "I'm just kinda anxious everyday" rough.) So I have a very important question: what do you want to see on Patreon?

What can I watch & react to that would inspire you to either 1) become a paid member OR 2) upgrade to a higher tier?

There are a lot of things I can't fully commit to reacting to regularly, cuz they require a lot more time to film & edit than I have on a day-to-day basis... but THIS WEEK/MONTH, I WILL DEDICATE THE TIME. Even if it's longer-form content or if there are a BUNCH of shorter videos, just let me know. I can spend some extra time creating content for y'all if you think it'll be worth the $5 or $10 or $20 to access.

I am so grateful to Patreon and y'all are already a big part of the reason I am keeping my head above water - I don't really have any other sources of income right now cuz 1) RiVERSE has a ton of debt (endlessly proud of 'Humanity In Volume' but also... oof) and 2) I am so. fucking. burnt. out. I had to stop doing freelance work (I was missing deadlines and it was a bad look). Soooooooooooo, if I can watch some great k-pop music/content and y'all will be willing to pledge donations here on Patreon to help me out, I'd be so, so thankful.

I adore this community. Y'all are awesome and one of the brightest spots in my life. The world is dark these days and so many people are having a hard time. I know a $5 pledge isn't possible for a lot of people and I completely understand - even if you are a free member, I appreciate you being here, watching my videos, commenting, joining my streams, etc. I have so much fun with y'all and you being here is already such a gift!

Maybe some Deep Dives about some groups, you watch performances, concert stages... i'm sure there are a lot of groups that you barely scratched the surface and people would want you to get more into... you can even do a poll to see which group they would want or spin the wheel lol Personally, since I only care about girl groups, I would love some reaction to Triples's variety Badge War - 30min eps (it's one of the best concept of variety i've seen) but I know you're not really invested in them haha (I always upgrade to watch those reactions lol) Or maybe some Nmixx content? they have so much variety content... recording behinds, they also all went on Lee Mujin Service and even went as a group (first time it happened on LeeMujin) If you want longer content the best one would be HyeMiLeeYeChaePa (Hyeri from Girl's day, Miyeon, Lee Jung, Yena, Chaewon and Patricia), it's by far the best long variety show from girl groups. They basically play games and get money to furnish a house and they live in it... Not sure i'm very helpful here lol

Honestly I'd prefer if you'd do somat new instead of just kpop reactions tbh coz kpop isn't really hitting like it used to (my personal opinion) like it's genuinely gone boring and the new songs are missing that kpop flavour. Maybe you could react to some Bollywood. Ik you love Bollywood since the riverselive days and honestly Bollywood brings in a lot of people so.... Maybe some songs from the late 90s early 2000s or if you have more time maybe some old nostalgic Bollywood movies from the golden era of Bollywood. If you have the time tho ofc. This is just my opinion 💕😘

Btw I'm saying this coz I'm a paid member for 2 other patreon channels as well as yours and they react to Bollywood movies and songs and get so many views even on yt that's y. Again it's your choice

This is super helpful, thanks Sandra!! I do agree that Deep Dives and variety content are great ideas and something I wanna do a lot more of for sure. There are SO many groups I wanna learn more about and doing deep dives has been a proven way. And variety shows make me learn the members and fall in love with personalities so much! That's actually the smartest with tripleS cuz I am SO curious about the group but just watching the music , I feel like it's too overwhelming for me to start to really learn about them. And, believe it or not, I literally had just pulled up all the NMIXX LMS videos the other day. I was trying to choose ONE to do, was leaning towards the full group one, but maybe I just need to check them all out! hahaha. Thanks for these suggestions. I'm literally writing them all down so I don't forget!

I’m a paid subscriber. Maybe some docu-series? Pop star academy was so fun but it’s been a while since a show. For me it would greatly depend on the show though whether I would jump up a tier because I’m a fan of specific groups and very uninterested in others. Maybe you can do a couple different series and appease several fandoms? I think you would like Jhopems docuseries called Hope on the Street. It’s all about his history and love for various forms of street dance. He travels the world to train with experts in each dance style and then writes a song for that style and performs a choreography to his song with the expert. It’s pretty special.

Ooooh, I do love me some Bollywood lol. ESPECIALLY late 90s/early 2000s era - SRK & Kajol were practically family when I was younger hahahah. This is a great suggestion. Not sure I'll switch to non-kpop content overall BUT I can definitely check out some Bollywood stuff this month! I think I'd appreciate the nostalgia and joy right now!

Ooh, that's actually a really great idea! Maybe we can do a deep dive of idols who are also actors, check out some clips from their acting, and their performances. That would be really cute! I've also been thinking about doing some k-dramas cuz y'all are making me want to watch so many shows over in Discord! haha. I haven't watched anything new in a while, but maybe if I was doing reactions on Patreon and we could talk about it together, that would be fun...!

Lol no suprise at all u being a Bollywood fanatic. I remember the riverselive days lol. If you don't mind could you react to one of my fave Bollywood movies of all time veer zaara and salaam namaste? If not the full movie then maybe some songs from the movies 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I understand the not wanting to switch from kpop. Oh man you have no idea bout the whole nostalgia thing. I'm already subbed, but I do think that serialized content is the best thing for Patreon. And perhaps batch filming things and scheduling out stuff would be best. I know that takes up chunks of time, but might be the best for consistency. For example, if you wanted to do a K-drama, watch like 4 episodes in a row and schedule them for every Monday. That way it's consistent, plus people know when to expect it. You could also do this with Deep Dives or Variety Content.

I used to be a paid member to watch your Cortis & B2P reactions but I’m currently in a deep Santos Bravos (the HYBE Latam boy group) rabbit hole so if you react to the Santos Bravos show on YouTube I would absolutely become a paid member again!! They have a ton of content; there’s the regular episodes, the full challenge performances, and the live sessions (called Sesiones Bravas) so you could totally release reactions on a schedule and I’ll be subscribing for a while lol. I realize this is pretty niche though and might not be of interest to the rest of your audience, idk. But I hope you’ll check it out!

Maybe you could watch some lgbtq+ series like heated rivalry ( its really going famous right now and i think it would bring more people to subscribe) or a dating show like the boyfriend on Netflix ( it Just gained a Second season, its a gay japanese show) Or doings some kdramas It would bring more people to subscribe.

As I'm a big fan of twice and I know tha you are too, there are some twice content really nice to watch. - Nayeon Kode interviews - Jeongyeon inspection videos ( there's one with jihyo and one with misamo, also some nice one with bambam, somi, her sister) - Sana Fridge interviews (specially the one with dahyun, also there's one with dex, and jhope). Jihyo Seibja- where she visited some guesthouses in Korea. There's also twice date in YouTube. It's episodes that two twice members go on a date, is really nice to see more of their friendship. Also some nice twice interviews - nayeon and jihyo at bambam house. - nayeon interviewed by day6 youngk. - twice at the hyell club - dahyun interviews with her cowork actors.

Hi Khadija, of course I stay payed member and tip every reaction request on Twitch. I came mainly because I value your expertise and I like you and the other reason was to support South East Asian content that is related to K-Pop. I am not a die hard K-Pop Fan but I am a Fan of diversity, good music and Talent. I fear the more you open your channel the more it will lose its core focus. An Example is Waleska and her Brother. They started with Kpop and then they found out that SE Asian and Indian Netizenz are so much more active in the web but now it became a world music channel without any focus. On the other hand the channel went from 100 to a million follower. I Appreciate when your channel stays K-Pop maybe K-Drama and maybe with some SE Asian Representation in that sector. There is more then no_na haha and also Talent shows. But all in Line with K-Pop Content. Also some Interview or Vlog reaction f.E. Carmen from H2H has a big Fanbase. The Community in SE Asia is huge and there is a desire to be represented and to show that Asia has great talent outside Korea, China and Japan. For me it's already huge that people can see that Asians can even look like Esther from no_na and I hope a curly Indonesian will make it too one day. Oh I drifted away while writing. However you can count on me and I will recommend your channel on other platforms

Yes, I think the shows are the content that most people subscribe to Patreon for. Just depends on the show and the fandom, I guess. These take up the most of my time, but they totally are fun to watch together. We watched the Hope On The Street highlight video on Twitch... I think you're totally right, that would be a SUPER fun one to check out! Maybe leading up to the OT7 album!

I think you can probably start with the final group’s live performance of 0% at Dia de Muertos (this is the best version I found of it: https://youtu.be/0WT5Vi7g1_o?si=nobzRcdyvALvKV6Q). And then if you decide to dive in more you can go back and watch the survival show! Or if you don’t want to get spoiled on who makes it into the group, you can also check out their challenge performance of Lloviendo Estrellas; they were divided into groups 1&2. It’s the first challenge they did on the show that we got full performance videos of.

Yes, I would recommend I Told Sunset About You. It's a Thai BL with beautiful cinematography and a coming-of-age story about sexuality (I cried in every episode, hahaha). Or if you prefer something lighter and more fun, there's another Thai BL I really like called Bad Buddy, which is about two boys who have been rivals since childhood (even their parents hate each other) and end up having a spark. It's very good, and they have wonderful chemistry. Some other BLs I would recommend: Love in the Big City (Korean BL) My School President (thay BL) Thamepo (Thay BL about idol life) Khemjira (horror BL with a lot of Thai culture) Heated Rivalry(honorable mention) Semantic Error (Korean BL).
