Omggggg I can't get over how pretty this song and their voices are!! I just realized that I think Meral (heyyyyy) told me this is MAMAMOO's sister group... of course the vocals are incredible!! Ughhh.

Ok y'all. Do the thing. Tell me everything there is to know about this group and what other songs I've missed from them! (But bear in mind, my reaction list is already stupid long. So, what do you think I'll like THE MOST?)

The one on the far left that you asked about is Swan, the main vocalist. She also just released her first solo single called Twenty. Chaein, with the silver hair, is the one doing the breathy high note. This is one of my top favorites from them. My #1 favorite is Zombie. I highly suggest checking out the choreo for Sweet juice.

Purple Kiss came out of nowhere for me when their debut dropped, and it rocked my kpop world. I immediately checked out the mini-album and was blown away by how mature and beautifully produced their songs were already, and I have not been disappointed with a single track/album since that first listen. I seriously CANNOT WAIT to hear what they produce in the future and how they grow as artists! If there was any justice in the world, these ladies would be the leaders of 4th gen. Even if you don't react to it, give a listen to their b-side called "Period" off their debut album Into The Violet.

Reaction-wise, I think you need either a mini-marathon episode... or if just one song, then their debut "Ponzona" because it really sets the tone for their concept. IF you're able to do a mini-marathon, then; Ponzona Can We talk Again (pre-debut) Zombie memeM Nerdy

One more tidbit, the fandom name is Plory and the group and members are referred to as PurKi as a nickname... so you'll hear Purky every now and then in their songs. Oh my gawd, I loooooooved Portishead back in the day! I can totally hear it. I'm not sure if Swan is inspired by Gibbons, but I know she loves Billie Eilish, who's kinda this generations Beth Gibbons, imo. 😄

i’ve been following purple kiss since 2 years before their debut and these girls mean so much to me! all of them are heavily involved in their music, and they choreograph their bsides. they’re known for their vocals but they’re such a well rounded group. if you ever do a mini marathon i’d suggest: - debut trailers (each member has one so you can get a feel for them individually) - can we talk again (pre-debut) - ponzona (debut) - zombie - pretty psycho (bside) - zzzz (it’s a showcase live stage not an mv but it’s my personal favorite bside from them) - memeM - nerdy in terms of covers i’d recommend - mmmh - overdose - goodbye (swan and goeun) - break up with you girlfriend (chaein and ireh) - adore u - ring ding dong - my oh my - hands to myself (jieun and dosie)

Ughhhh Swan 😍 I love that she has such a unique tone! All of them sound amazing, though! I definitely want to see the choreo too! I can tell just from the small movements and facial expressions here that they are great performers. And the tiny elements that were in the MV looked so interesting! Maybe I'll do 'Zombie' MV and 'Sweet Juice' dance soon!

Oh wow! Like, I can imagine that they are total powerhouses in their music. The vocals alone are 🤯 and if the production is anywhere near as creative and massive-sounding as 'Sweet Juice' it must be incredible! I wanna listen to an album for sure! Would you suggest the debut album or one of the newer ones for a first listen?

Yessssss, I can see that Billie Eilish vibe!! The vocal tone isn't quite Beth Gibbons, but the kind of pretty, haunted sound totally is - especially Billie Eilish's earliest stuff. I love that we're getting this vibe in a k-pop group now!

Purple + Glory = Plory Fun lil tidbit alongside being Mamamoo’s sister group and well Solar used to be there to evaluate them and Moonbyul helped and still helps Yuki out allot with her rap and Korean seeing as Yuki is the only non-Korean member and is in fact Japanese What made me fall for them was definitely when they covered overdose in the dance relay series and also how clean they are with their dance practices All their songs are bops and most have mv’s thank you for paying attention to my best girls

I'm so glad to have discovered this group! That's very cool that Mamamoo mentors them in that way! I definitely want to see more of the performance/dance side of them, cuz I can already tell just from this that they're probably great performers!
