Ughhhhh this show is stressing me out and making me so happy at the same time!! I just want to hug every single one of these trainees and tell them they're amazing. (Also, how many fucking times do I say "amazing" in this video?!?!?!" 

My faves are already popping up, though!! I am so scared some of my fave trainees will get eliminated (which they obviously will cuz there are only 9 members of ZB1 haha). 😭 But watching this whole journey is so special! 

I'm really glad this is the first survival show I'm watching all the way through, from beginning to end! I like these guys and I can already tell I'm automatically gonna be a big ZEROBASEONE fan just from this experience.

DONE WATCHING AND COMMENTING! 4:21 lmaoooo just imagine having to rewatch this moment infront of freaking SUNMI!! At least you can claim afterwards that you made her laugh hahaha 11:18 the nunu nana performance is probably in my top 3 star level test performances. Loved the energy of this group! And I love chaotic junhyeon hahaha 15:39 ughhh, keita really has my heart. I love his personality, and then he's super talented and confident in his skills, and I don't really want to admit that because he's younger than me, but I find him really attractive 🫣 and it's not just or mainly his looks, but again, it's the confidence and smugness and swagger he has that make him super charming, imo! Oh and btw, he was pH-1's favourite trainee! :) 17:05 you're so right! I don't want to say that in previous seasons that wasn't the case as well, but despite the competitive nature of the show, those boys were sooo supportive of each other and it really stood out to me. 18:32 I just remembered, they picked four shining boys (or whatever they called them) for promotional pictures and videos before the show started airing. 2 of k group, sung hanbin and kim gyuvin, and 2 of g group, ma jing xiang and seok matthew. 23:18 DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW WHY WE CALL THIS SHOW FRUITY PLANET??? 😀😮‍💨😳😏🌈😭 25:46 sooo that's a bit of a heavy topic actually and I briefly mentioned it in the chat during the watch party but jiwoong has a pretty sad backstory. As mentioned in the episode he debuted with INX. The company treated the group poorly, for example not giving them any pay for their work, not even once. They filed a lawsuit and won against the company and a year or so after their debut they disbanded. Then Jiwoong was to debut in another group, ateen, but then shit really went south for him and the group because what's worse than general mistreatment by a company? Getting sexually assaulted by their female ceo and a wife of some chairman. 6 members of the 10 member group (which also had minors) were victims of that happening at a restaurant in japan. The group didn'T even get to debut and i think, they even reached out to their fans and the public to ask for their support against this hell of a company. So jiwoong went through some really shitty things and I admire and respect him sooo much that he persevered and, even after starting a career in acting, still tried to make his dream of debuting as an idol come true. I will literally always stand behind this man and want to protect him against everything bad in this world :( Side note: jiwoong's group consisted of individual trainees, meaning they weren't under any company at that time. 2nd side note: do you see how red his hands were at 27:15? And you could also see some of the people having hot packs. It must've been so cold in this studio and they had to sit there for idk how many hours 😭 1:22:14 that's wang zihao, lay's trainee. And his dance teacher trix was actually on smf, with his krumping crew prime kingz. 1:28:20 hanbin's mom has a café that he also once worked at as a barista. And his mom is so cute. I follow the café's page on ig and she always posts about him and does this cute little things like for zb1's debut she decorated the café with pictures of him and the group. She just seems so sweet and supportive! 1:32:25 in previous seasons the trainees would take the re-evaluation test in front of their group but record themselves. And then the judges would watch the videos alone in a separate room evaluating them. So the trainees weren't expecting to be performing right in front of the judges! 1:57:55 everytime the judges see matthew, hearts form in their eyes. They're so smitten with him 🥰

I re-watched episode 2 the other day in prep for your reaction release, and since so many months passed since watching it the first time my responses were pretty fresh again (and somewhat in line with the first pass). I laughed my ass off during the SUNMI ep 1 movie night. It was a pseudo behind-the-scenes take on the guys watching themselves that really revealed that despite the K vs. G feel when it comes to the challenges that every artist faces (off days, mistakes, triumphs) everyone can relate and be engaging and supportive as a community (and laugh at themselves). Loved seeing the reveal of backgrounds, more on personalities and struggles, the whole BL undercurrents are THE BEST, but more importantly the relationships forming. I really loved the engagement between Keita and Jay. Jay is soo endearing and heartful, and Keita has such a big heart and is so humble. Love them. Yes, and Sung Han Bin and Matthew's dynamic and supportive rivalry was great to see to (you could tell both can flourish in that environment). I loved your responses and take, plus the insight and parallels you mentioned in reflection to your own experience. This was awesome Khadija!!

Hahaha okay, the fact that you watched a 3-hour episode just IN PREPARATION to watch the same 3-hour episode with me??? hahaha omggggg. I love you for that! Seeing them watch themselves on episode 1, altogether, reliving the moments, laughing at the edits, etc. was really cute. I'm glad they included that, cuz I think it's such an important part of the whole experience and remembering what they're all going through together! I'm really loving how this whole show is produced. It's the first survival show I'm watching all the way through, from beginning to end, and they're doing a great job of showcasing the personalities, relationships, struggles, etc. IT'S SO MUCH FUN! I was dying for the made up boys love/gay moments the WHOLE SHOW. Especially with Jiwoong there, plus Seowon and Woongki playing into it. I’m a HUGE BL fan (it’s the majority of what I watch, I even have this long ass list of BL titles sorted by country that I rate when I finish one) so I was giddy.

Loved it!! It’s starting to heat up a bit, and it’s only gets better and better! With the performances coming and different teas and pairing you really get to see the meat of the show, omg can’t wait for the next episode! The little BL moment was so cute (complete pandering, but cute 😂) And you start to see their levels and skills and where they are ranking, and who works to improve and just all of the survival show elements. Love it! Minus the stress and pressure but whatevs.
