Hi guys! I have a website! It's still in the works but I have some things done and keep adding little by little, in case you wanna check it out

You will be able to stream only an hour of video, if the reaction is over an hour and you'd like to see the rest of it you're gonna have to download the reaction. Sorry about that, I'll let you know when I fix that.

I was curious how you'd respond to this one as I remember you not liking the Buffy musical episode so much. But then as you explained maybe it was the surprise factor in that case. I think this one - which as you rightly stated was the first one to really kick off musical episodes in the modern era even though a lot of Buffy fans still consider their's is the first despite this coming well before - is far superior to the Buffy episode myself and much more strongly dramatic - especially as it starts with Xena trying to kill Gabrielle! I'm glad it resonated with you, I think the quality of the music and songs is really superb. Yes, Renee and Hudson Leick had soundalikes doing their songs but Renee has always felt she isn't a good singer and she more than makes up for it with her performances in the series and this episode is no exception. I'm sorry you had such a bad start to the day when you were recording this and glad you were still able to enjoy the episode despite that. Joxer gets special mention for me in this one because even though he's doomed to failure he goes to take on Xena in the beginning to protect Gabrielle. Truly has the heart of a lion.

Yes, you're correct when you say that this is "the one" that kicked it all off. (And, not that it's all about the comparisons to "Once More With Feeling," but "The Bitter Suite" was actually much more popular than the later Buffy musical episode. People who claim otherwise can feel free to check the Nielsen ratings.) I really didn't know how this would go over with you, so I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. Kevin Smith had a fine voice. And I wasn't expecting you to like his "Ding dong" joke that much. 😆 This episode is full of tarot imagery, also. I don't know much about that, but people who do have more to chew on in this episode. Anyway, this was the culmination of the storyline known as "The Rift," with the divide between Xena and Gabrielle. It's a great way to wrap it up, and one that almost no show would have attempted.

Damn I forgot HOW GOOD this musical episode is
