Hi guys! For the past week I have been uploading my reactions to Patreon directly since I have a certain amount of hours per month and I can upload the videos in better quality than in Dropbox because I have limited space there (and I'm actually running out :') that's why I started using Patreon) I have been told the Patreon video player lags so if it lags for you let me know and I'll upload and edit the Dropbox link here! I (in lower quality, like I've always done there)

In Dropbox, you will be able to stream only an hour of video, if the reaction is over an hour and you'd like to see the rest of it you're gonna have to download the reaction. Sorry about that.

Firebird- Thank you very much for another fabulous reaction to yet another of my absolute favorite episodes within season five, Sora!! I absolutely love, love, love Killian's and Emma's story arc as they search for a way to resurrect Killian, and must go through a test Hades tells them about in order to discover if they're True Loves. I also really love the side storyline involving the rest of our heroes who must break free from Hades' imprisonment spell that he gives to the Blind Witch in order to keep them trapped down in the Underworld, while he and Zelena, as well as Gold with Belle escape through the portal leading back to Storybrooke. And I love, love, love Rumple's deception against his father that leads to Pan's end once and for all, which is absolutely brilliant! Emma agreeing to help Hades save Zelena from Rumple and Pan is enjoyable as well. I enjoy seeing Henry working with the other souls still trapped here in the Underworld to move on by helping them to discover what their unfinished business is with the help of his Authorial powers and his quill. And then... I really enjoy the backstory and love learning about how Emma comes to buy her red leather jacket, and learning about what it truly means to her. Unfortunately... There are also a few things within this episode that I don't like as well. I don't really care too much for Cleo Fox's character, or the actress who plays her... Rya Kihlsstedt. And I absolutely hate that Zelena and Hades are confirmed to share True Love upon them sharing True Love's Kiss. But I'll come back to each of these storylines momentarily... First, regarding Killian's body, upon hearing Hades mention why Killian may not be able to return to his body... If you think back to this season's midseason finale, titled... Swan Song, when Killian dies at Emma's hand, Emma stabs Killian with Excalibur, and his body collapses in her arms. Emma is shown sobbing over his body, then in the next scene, Killian's body is shown being carted away on a stretcher after the paramedics cover him up, as Emma struggles to release his hand until her parents pull her back and hold her to try to comfort her. Chances are that while the heroes go down to the Underworld so they can save him, Killian's body is either kept inside the morgue of the hospital, or those that remain behind in Storybrooke might even have had a funeral for him after they've buried him. It's never really shown what's become of Killian's body, but he definitely still has one. Now, my absolute favorite storyline, just as you would expect from me... I absolutely love, love, love the whole story arc between Killian and Emma throughout this episode!!!! I love the entire cemetery scene between them, the rest of our heroes, as well as Hades and Zelena too! I love that upon Emma helping Hades to save Zelena, he supposedly agrees to help everyone to leave the Underworld. Even though, like Killian... I never once believed Hades to be telling the truth. Not even for a moment. I love the moment between Killian and Emma once Hades removes everyone's names from their tombstones, as Emma tries once again to give Killian half of her heart so she can save him, only for them to learn that she's unable to because Killian has sadly been dead for too long, given that his body wouldn't be in good condition any longer. Which makes me a little upset that Emma wouldn't have thought to preserve his body with a protection spell like we know Regina had done for Daniel, shown in season two's episode, titled... The Doctor, which is the first of the two Frankenstein centered episodes throughout this show. I know Emma hoped to be able to save Kilian within a day, but given that they are traveling down into the Underworld to save her love that has died so brutally, she really shouldn't have expected that saving Killian would be so easy. But nonetheless, with this being said... A part of me actually believes that Hades still might have done something so that Emma's plan to split her heart with Killian wouldn't work, because of course he doesn't want Killian to come back to life. Killian's soul after all belongs to him since he is the God of the Underworld. Even though he leaves the Underworld once and for all, he wouldn't want to lose what he still sees as one of his precious possessions. And I love this moment between Killian and Emma, when Killian tries to get Emma to let him go, only for her to persist in trying to save him, as Hades then tells them that there might still be a way for Emma to save him. Also... I love the next scene with everyone inside the library in front of the elevator, as Hades explains the test of True Love to Emma, Killian, and the others. I love that Killian once again becomes unsure as to whether or not he is still deserving of being saved upon hearing the risks that Emma would be taking to try to save him, only for Emma to immediately assure him that he is worthy, after his sacrifice he made to save her, her family, and their loved ones. Also... I love how distrusting Killian remains of Hades, and how he calls him the Devil, only for Zelena to immediately correct him about Hades not being the Devil, but God of the Underworld, and how the Underworld isn't Hell. Next... I love learning about the mythology behind Orpheus and Eurydice, the first couple to ever defy Hades as Orpheus comes down to the Underworld to save his love, Eurydice. Their myth is a story I vaguely remember learning about in school. In my mythology class. And I love how their story connects to Emma and Killian, as Hades shares with them how Orpheus was supposedly able to save Eurydice after she had died, as they sought out ambrosia, the food of the Gods that is said to be able to resurrect a soul trapped here in the Underworld, which leads to Hades telling the heroes about the test of True Love, hidden down within the deepest depths of the Underworld, where he claims to be the one place in his realm even he is afraid to step foot in. And now for my absolute favorite moment within this episode... I absolutely love, love, love the moment of truth, as Emma and Killian come upon the scales that are meant to measure their love for one another by testing them in a very dark way. I love how Killian is able to read the writings on the scales' podium thanks to his time within the Royal Navy, and I love how Killian then grows wary about Emma's love for him. Not because he doesn't believe Emma loves him, but because he fears that her love for him isn't as true as Snow's and David's love given that love is the most powerful magic of all. And because he fears for Emma's life, knowing that should they fail this test, Emma could lose her life trying to save him. I love how Emma then tells him that she's worn her armor for so long... A metaphor for what her red leather jacket really represents, that she's forgotten Killian is the one person she no longer needs to keep it on for. And then sadly, both Killian and Emma suffer briefly until Emma must make her choice... To save herself by taking back her heart from the scales she has placed her heart on so her love for Killian can be weighed upon feeling her heart becoming crushed, or to save Killian from ultimate suffering upon him suddenly becoming surrounded and burned by a pillar of fire that almost drags him down to the Worse Place. And Emma proves her love for Killian is True Love, just as his love for Emma is True Love as well, when Emma of course chooses to save Killian at the risk of sacrificing her own life, as Emma fights against the pain crushing her heart and rushes to push Killian free from the flames and lies on top of him to continue protecting him should the fire continue to surround him. I absolutely love, love, love seeing their love for one another in Killian's and Emma's eyes as they look upon one another with so much love and joy upon discovering that their love is indeed True Love upon them passing the Underworld's True Love test. So, so beautiful!!! This is most definitely the first of my favorite moments within this episode. I love Killian and Emma, and I absolutely love how we are finally given confirmation at last, that they are True Loves, just like Emma's parents are. However, with this being said... I do wish we could have gotten a True Love's Kiss between Killian and Emma too, like we've gotten for Snow and Charming many times, which I absolutely love!! And like we even get for Zelena and Hades, which I really hate. Killian and Emma deserve a True Loves' Kiss, so I am a little disappointed that we don't seeing the big burst of magic come from their kiss too, but c'est la vie. Seeing their love to be proven true through this test within the Underworld is absolutely beautiful and wonderful too! And as for another of my favorite moments within this episode... I absolutely love the heartbreaking, yet most beautiful moment between Emma and Killian at the bottom of the elevator, as they are forced to say goodbye to one another. Killian and Emma both quickly recognize Hades has screwed them over by discovering that Hades has cut down the ambrosia tree and that the fruit of the Gods has been turned to ash, having sent them down there all so he could trap them and each of the heroes in the Underworld. And given that Killian never trusted Hades for a moment, he comes to understand before even Emma does, that by everyone staying here in the Underworld to try to help him, they will most likely become trapped down here permanently as well. Killian understands that Emma and her family will wind up becoming trapped if he doesn't push her away and pushes her to understand she must say goodbye to him by sacrificing his life for Emma and their loved ones yet again. Because he recognizes there is no longer a way to save him. At least not one that will allow Emma to save him in time before she and her family become trapped along with him. This moment between Killian and Emma at the elevator is so beautiful and heartbreaking, and it always makes me cry. Their emotions make me cry. Emma can't believe she has to say goodbye to the man she loves yet again, until Killian makes her promise she won't lose her armor and put her walls back into place just because she's gonna lose him. And when she finally accepts she has to leave Killian behind despite her efforts to try to save him in order to save herself and her family, Emma makes Killian promise her in return that he will find a way to move on from the Underworld, and not wait for her to die one day and meet him here. Their love story is just so, so beautiful, and this moment... As heartbreaking to me as it is, it's absolutely beautiful. I absolutely love this moment between them!!! :) As for Hades' betrayal, and the heroes becoming trapped inside of Underbrooke's library... Like I mentioned above, I never trusted Hades in the least bit, so I expected him to do something to either trap everyone living, or to hurt them somehow... In a worse way other than him just lying to Emma and Killian about the ambrosia still being there to save him. So, upon learning that he has given the Blind Witch a spell powerful enough to trap our heroes inside the library, it most certainly didn't surprise me. And because I expected a move from Hades, I really love it! And I especially love how Hades is able to trap them, by using the Blind Witch to help him. And I love this moment when the Blind Witch and Cruella trap our heroes. I love their banter, and I seeing Regina work out how it is actually Hades' magic now trapping them here. However, as much as I actually like how Hades has trapped everyone for the sake of this episode's storyline... it breaks my heart knowing he is deceiving Zelena, who has already grown so much and who is fighting to be good, which makes me hate him much more than I did until now. I still really enjoy Hades overall as a villain! I think he's fun and quite entertaining. All thanks to Greg Germann, who is an absolutely brilliant and hilarious actor! At least until the love story between him and Zelena begins in a previous episode this season, titled... Our Decay. Since then, I do come to like Hades' character less and less. At least as far as him being a bit annoying. But he is still a fantastic villain all in all! Which brings me to the first annoyance I have with this episode... I really do believe that Zelena loves Hades. Especially because in the previous episode, Zelena finally comes to see, feel, and truly understand that she is loved. Has been loved, and can be loved. And not just by Hades, but especially by her sister. And for the first time within this show... We see a true change in Zelena. We see that she wants to be good and wants a real relationship with her sister at last, and wants to be a good mother for her daughter. So, I believe that she truly loves Hades. However, I do not believe that Hades truly loves her in return. I believe that he cares for her, maybe even loves her to some degree. However, his love for her is most certainly not at all True Love. Because he has already deceived her by lying to Zelena about not knowing why Regina and everyone else haven't joined them at the portal, and he knows that Zelena wants to build a relationship with her sister and has trapped Regina and everyone so they can't leave. Plus... I don't believe that Zelena is what is most important to him. I believe that he still longs for his revenge against his brother for trapping him down in the Underworld and for stopping his heart in the first place. And should Hades be given a choice between his revenge on his brother or Zelena, I absolutely believe that he would choose his revenge over Zelena. So, no... Their love is not true, because it isn't for Hades. However, the creators and writers establish them to be an official True Love couple because Zelena's kiss allows for his heart to restart, and they are written to share True Love's Kiss. And this actually makes me quite mad, because even Killian and Emma don't get one, and we know without doubt that they truly are True Loves. Plus... We know that Rumple's love for Belle isn't true right now either, because he still lusts for his power over her, which is clearly established throughout this Underworld arc. And Rumple is shown attempting to kiss Belle to wake her, yet it doesn't work because his love for her isn't true. So, for this rule to hold true for Rumple, yet not for Hades... It makes no sense to me. And I absolutely hate this. I may be able to tolerate Zelena's and Hades' love story, and yet I really wish the creators and writers had chosen to write a different way for Hades to become free and to have his heart restarted. And I know that many fans of this show agree with my sentiments regarding this part of Hades' storyline. Even though most of this show's fans absolutely hate Hades as a character, while I still actually enjoy him for the most part. Next... I absolutely love Pan's end, and seeing Rumple deceive his father one last time by giving him fake heart, that is actually a wineskin he had glamoured to look like a heart, filled with water from the River of Lost Souls. I think it's brilliant! And the prefect kind of end for Pan, who has always been the worst kind of father to his son. I love the deception, and seeing Rumple's pure joy upon him watching as Pan becomes consumed by the magic within the green waters. Oh... And we also learn in this moment, after we had seen Gold steal Robin's heart to supposedly give it to Pan... that he has actually already given Robin his heart back. Which I really appreciate, because I would have hated Rumple even more if he would have hurt Robin, or worse... killed him. We also see Rumple then pull Belle into Pandora's Box, which had been given to Rumple by Pan a littler earlier. And in all honesty... I really don't understand the point of him doing so, when I don't see why Rumple can't just carry Belle to the portal and cross through with her. This really just doesn't make any sense to me. I really love that Henry continues to act upon Operation Firebird, by helping as many lost souls as he can to move on while he and the rest of the heroes are waiting for Emma and Killian to return. I love seeing Stealthy in this moment too. We haven't seen Stealthy since season one's episode, titled... Dreamy, when Stealthy is sadly killed by King George's men in Grumpy's backstory. It's very sweet seeing him again. And then... When they have to leave quickly in order to get to through the portal home before it closes, I appreciate that Henry leaves the storybook behind for them, with a number of people's unfinished businesses written out for them. I don't think him doing so is a bright idea, given that Cruella and the Blind Witch, as well as other evil people are still in the Underworld too, but hopefully Henry was able to help as many people as he could, and I love him for wanting to do so. And as for my one other annoyance within this episode... While I love and truly appreciate that we get to learn how Emma comes to get her red leather jacket and that we learn what it truly means to her, and how Emma comes to be inspired to become the bail bondswoman she was before she arrives in Storybrooke back in season one... I really don't like Cleo Fox. I don't like her character in the slightest. Something about her character just really rubs me the wrong way. I hate her attitude and how she treats Emma throughout this episode, and I especially hate the way this actress plays this random bail bondswoman, who had inspired Emma to become a bail bondswoman herself all those years ago. I understand why Cleo and her daughter, Tasha, are a part of this episode. I absolutely understand their significance. And I really appreciate seeing why they are such. I especially love how Cleo teaches Emma that her leather jacket is like her armor to protect herself from being hurt, and how Emma comes to remember this lesson in the very ending when she is forced to leave the Underworld behind her father, without Killian. And Tasha is fine. I like her character, no matter how small her role is. I just really hate Cleo's overall character. I don't really know why. I get strange vibes with this actress and how she plays this character. However, I do love seeing the mirror images of Emma trying to run away from this bail bondswoman and failing due to Cleo putting a boot on the tire of her care, just like Emma does to Ryan... the bail skipper whom she chases after in the Pilot episode in season one and does the same thing to. Cleo also talks to Emma, just how Emma talks to Ryan too when introducing herself to him as a bail bondswoman. I absolutely love the storyline and special meaning behind Emma's red leather jacket. And I love the very ending as each of our heroes finally reach the portal just as it is about to close, and seeing Emma and David stop before following the others through, because I love this moment shared between Emma and her father as he tries to assure Emma that she did everything she possibly could for Killian. I love how she is gripping her jacket as she struggles to leave without the man she truly loves, and yet she understands that she must use her armor to continue to protect everyone else she loves too. Her jacket and armor play a very important role throughout this episode, as it reminds her that she must never put up her walls again as Killian pleads with her, and that she must now use her armor to continue protecting everyone else and not just herself. So, I love this part of Emma's story! And I love this beautiful father and daughter moment too! Overall... Firebird is absolutely beautiful, and it is absolutely one of my favorite episodes this season!!!! Even with its flaws and storylines I might not like so much. Thank you very much once again for your reaction, Sora! I had so much fun watching Firebird with you! You're amazing! Sincerely, Heidi
