Been really excited to see this episode! Editing after watching; I really enjoyed how the anxiety over the title manifested during this one. Your guesses weren't all bad in the end! Sylphie is pregnant and Rudy is going on a journey to save his mother! No episode next week, so we all get to stew in the feeling this episode leaves us with a little longer.

More of a Subtle turning point compared to the 1st 2, but gosh… this series is so good at lose-lose choices, and overall tough situations where it’s not necessarily any one person’s fault.

Rudy has matured quite a bit during the years. I think old Rudy would have happily jumped at the chance to get with a beast girl, especially when he could have told himself a higher authority told him to.

Hope the spoiler part is not what I think it is... I read the entire light novel and turning point 3 is my second favorite in the serie when you think about it later, let's hope it's a minor spoiler or even a fake one.

I think this is the second time I saw Rudeus cried, and the first time he went against Man-god advise so I’m a little scared of what’s to come

The turning point specifically is "Rudy is going to be a dad AND Rudy went against what the mangod recommended for the first time."

That being said, if I was Rudy I'd of done this. Note that the letter said "Send help" not "come help". I'd of called in every favor I had and spent money to fix the problem. Send Grandma elf, send the FAMOUS team we worked with (Stepped Leader) or even their entire guild, Hired mercenaries or adventurers, Send a letter asking the beast tribe to send some people, asked the literal IMMORTAL DEMON KING to help, See if he could hire someone to track down Ruijerd to help, etc.

Badigadi would probably be the best person if you want to send someone bu skip content moment : he left the academy after he saw rudeus with ruijerd. Stepped Leader is also a good pick he could have tried that when I think about it, ruijerd will be to hard to find in time. Anyone else is irrelevent if a S group with a king tier level mage is strugelling against something.

to clear up why the letter was so short, you were right to think about how long the letter would take to send, and also the chances of it actually getting there, so for an urgent message, youd want something short that you could make a bunch of to ensure it gets there at all

The phrase “Turning Point” is used very deliberately by the author and it will make more and more sense as to what it actually means in the grand scheme of things as the series continues and more things start to get revealed.

You actually brought up the one thing they brushed over, the fact that the letter needs to travel for a year aswell. So yeah we don’t even know if this information is out dated and it’s all solved or worsened

If Steph didn't say it, I would've lol my thoughts went to, if he stayed and mated with Linia or Pursena, not only a child, but perhaps a huge boon would've come from it like the support and protection of the beast people when a certain attack happens~ or something is summoned~ and if he leaves and that attack or summoning happens that he could have been there for and get support for from the beast tribe, everybody dies.. 😱 that's where my evil mind went, dang it

I really don't understand why people take pleasure in spoiling. For some stories, it's no big deal, but for Mushoku Tensei, they can completely ruin what the author intended. Steph seems to know something she shouldn't know at all. It sucks big time.
