I'm watching for the first time with you guys; and oh boy is it nerve-wracking waiting for the reaction to drop each week. I'm even more excited for the next one now.

Steins Gate is a very metaphorical story. While taking a logical and science-y approach, it is poetry. Try to read between the lines, I am sure you will pick up on things as I know you. Much love!

With the Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI), we're dealing with a single space and time, or a single universe that contains multiple "worlds" or versions existing in a superposition state with the worlds branching off on each other. There is more to say on this in regards to this show, but it'll spoil a major part of the story. "On a fundamental level, humans are temporal creatures" - Kurisu I'm not the best person to explain this, but Kurisu is mentioning Heidegger's concept of Dasein where humans are unique beings in that our existence is based on our awareness (or fact) that life is finite, and we may try to live accordingly (i.e., trying to live a meaningful life while we still can). This is something to think about as you progress through the rest of the show.

Welcome to the turning point and TRUE BEGINNING of Steins Gate 😄 this episode was the moment where I decided fck it I'm binging the rest of this. I'm not ending my night like this lol Anyway to clarify on some stuff, time did not literally stop. It just wouldn't make sense with the grounded real world they've setup. The hourglass and Mayuri's watch stopping aren't in the VN source material. My guess is that it was just the anime taking some dramatic liberties to symbolise and buildup suspense to the moment of Mayuri's death. Her time was up, something like that. Its always the most wholesome and innocent ones they kill off first lol. Cos they know it will hurt and have an impact. Look forward to the next episode 😉

Welp.. I was wrong about Moeka 😶 But I kinda wonder if Okarin did this. Remember they messed with Moeka's timeline? What if they had left things alone, she wouldn't have ended up in SERN? Or what if she was in SERN but wasn't going to do this if she was still part of the group? Gods this show is gonna mess with my head

Nigerindayo, smokey 🗣‼️
