So fun fact about the tiger guild guys eyes is that when they turn yellow they can see the true strength of anyone which is how he knows Jinwoo has gotten stronger scince before

I don't remember if they touch on it in the anime yet ot if they ever will, but the demons in the castle have corrupted souls so he can't extract them for his shadow army

It was said in another episode that he can't extract the demons in this tower. It's unclear afaik if it's because demons can't be extracted or if it's just the tower. But you're probably not meant to know at that point anyway.

Lee Minsung turned out as expected, to be honest, even though I considered there might be a small chance he could be another player. I thought he, and maybe even a few others, might show up around this time after reaching S-Rank to compete with Jinwoo. There’s no way Jinwoo is the only player!

If jinwoo's level caps, he won't be able to keep extracting stronger and stronger monsters. He couldn't get the ice elf boss because he wasn't strong enough.

Wes and one idea right, well 70% right. I am amazed at how Steph can remember tiny details from episodes/seasons ago. I have a philosophical question although regarding the "Jinwoo can just keep getting stronger shadows." So, do you still feel like this is a "game" where Jinwoo is the only known player, or do you think these gates lead to the home worlds of these monsters? Here is the issue; earth has 8billion people, but only 1 Jinwoo. Wouldn't it be fair to assume that if they were from another world there would be a similar power ratio? On the other hand if you think its a "game," and monsters are an infinite resource instead of a renewable resource, do you think that another Tusk/Igris have re-spawned?

I just absolutely love slippery-slope characters like this where they are morally gray presented as good guys and you see with power they start sliding into villain mode. I dunno why by the writing is just epic. You see this in Tsukimichi as well (10/10 recommend. Best intros/outros and the character has the best descent of character besides solo leveling and I would say "World's most notorious Talker.." but that character is straight up an evil-good guy protagonist. No descent lol but also recommend) The hype scenes for Jinwoo are just fantastically done and I fangirl every time 😂 for Igris too though I hoped to see more of him in S2 so kinda sad he isn't as prominent as I thought he'd be.

I know you all already finished this and I'm not sure if it's ever explicitly stated in the anime but Baek (white tiger guy), when his eyes turn yellow, he can sense EXACTLY how powerful someone is, which is why he was the only one who knew Jinwoo was getting stronger. Everyone else only has a general sense of their magic power. It's also why he wanted to recruit him after he saved his guild members. His eyes turned yellow the second time he put his hands on Jinwoo's shoulder and saw how powerful he was.
