I know it's maybe annoying for some people but I know Wes and Steph sometime miss comments so I want to write it again than Chainsaw Man movie is out and I hope they react to it sooner that later. Because Chansaw Man manga (specifically part 1) is my top 3 mangas of all time And movie is canon by the way!

I somehow knew the Bakugo x Uraraka comment would be mentioned in this hahaha xD Believe it or not, that person was quite inaccurate. While it is a ship, I would say that it is nowhere near as popular as the main ships, which are as follows: - Bakugo x Midoriya (which, I mean, crazy right? Though I can understand it later on, doesn't mean I like it though hahah) - Bakugo x Kirishima (my own personal ship that I adore and becomes more and more noticeable as the series progresses. I'm remembering how much I love it ever since re-watching the early seasons with you guys. Also, not even just to support my ship, but Bakugo called Kirishima's name in the cavalry battle before he called Uraraka's name ;) Unsure if it would be the first time he called someone by their name, though!) - Eraserhead x Present Mic (the two commentating the fight. People often pair them off for reasons you'll find out later, though you can also see that even now, they are paired off) - Todoroki x Midoriya (understandable, especially given the latest episodes you've watched where Midoriya questions Todoroki and his motives). These are the top four ships on Ao3. With BakuDeku having 60k fanfics, KiriBaku having 36k, EraserMic having 29k and TodoDeku having 26k. The top straight ship is, of course, Midoriya and Uraraka, though they have around 7k. Bakugo and Uraraka have around 6k.

aside from the shipping lol, i feel like these episodes with the sports festival were a really good insight into the characters’ ambitions on what kind of heroes they want to be. especially with the three — deku wants to save people, todoroki wants to discover himself, and bakugou wants to indisputably be first.

I think episode 1 of season 3 is filler-y ? Because I remember the start of every season (except the last) being "let's reintroduce all the characters again" type of episode. Someone else else confirm this?

How do you even measure something like that? Isn’t it kind of biased to use the number of fanfics, probably from one particular source, when there are dozens of other websites? The people who create fanfics are also a minority in the overall community and they usually have pretty distinctive tastes i would say (often not the "normal" ships that are more obvious). If I have a certain ship for example but did not create a fanfic on the site where you took your numbers from, does it just not count? It is just for fun and all, sure. It just gets a bit silly when people take it too seriously and start to rank it or argue about which one is the best.

I do not see that ship either but I am pretty sure that almost every anime has people who ship strange combinations. Weird people are weird. It has nothing to do with MHA.

Yes, they usually try to summarise things in the first episode of a new season but I’m not sure if it’s completely filler anymore. At least in the later seasons, it’s only like the first half of the episode that’s used for the recap.

When you say "If you have strong quirk you should have a weakness" then imagine Todoroki. His one half is negating the other's half weakness. You can say all the bad things about Endevar, but he knew what he was doing with it. Todoroki could be unstoppable if he would use 100% of his power (and then imagine if he were to inherit One For All).

Look who went to see if Deku was fine, Iida,Ochako, Tsuyu and of course Mineta. Bakugo was there? of course not, he doesn't care if Deku dies, but my main man Mineta cares like the good firend he is.

Recovery Girls medical treatment of Midoriya won’t eventually kill him. She was saying if someone doesn’t have enough stamina for the wound that needs healing then it would kill them by taking too much. (a side note —yes Wes!! I feel like people forget that this boy has only had a quirk for like a month with no actual teaching and has only had the opportunity to use it before the sports festival five times. He’s doing his best 😔)

I feel like it is the most objective way to look at it, actually! It’s taking into account actual stats, and fanfiction is the easiest way to go about it. I actually think it’s less biased to do it this way, for example I could’ve said: ‘KiriBaku is the best and only ship that matters’ and that would be a biased statement, but in giving facts and figures, that makes it easier to give a non-biased perspective! :) I didn’t personally rank it based on my preference, nor did I argue what was the best. I think you’re pushing your own perspective of what you’ve likely seen other people in the fandom do. Of course it isn’t the be-all and end-all, however it offers a general idea of the fandom ships. I was also mostly clarifying that, in the grand scheme of things, Uraraka x Bakugo isn’t exactly a popular ship, especially in comparison to the others. :) Also, if I was biased, know for sure I would’ve included MiriTama because they are my second faves after KiriBaku lol 😂 Also, I feel like other things support my points, e.g. Tumblr tag wise, BakuDeku has 120k followers, KiriBaku has 40k followers, TodoDeku has 40k followers, IzuOcha has 7k followers, Kacchako has 12k followers etc. which is heavily fandom based and you don’t exactly need to be creators to follow the tags. There’s also Instagram, where I think you’ll find the exact same outcomes :)

again not trying to create discourse, but i don’t think the original comment was trying to rank the ships and make some sort of commentary. shippers and fanfic writers are definitely a niche community within the grand scale of the mha fandom, but i would say that the numbers do correlate with the popular ships, especially from a website that is well-known for its fanfics.

I love how this show develops characters ... except for 1 character who has not been introduced yet (which I think is the only character not done right) ... these characters, there is a lot more to them that is not yet revealed 🥰🥰🥰 So just watch all the characters and see their arcs, even if you feel like you hate them in the moment 😅 even the "pervy" ones grow on you 😅

One of the main things I see people do is compare endeavour and bakugou together lol the main thing for me that sets them apart is that bakugou wants himself to be the best and will keep pushing himself and fighting to get to the at place he can be hot headed and anger dive like endeavour at times but he is very self focus and self driven only relying on others when it’s mandatory while endeavour has the same goal to be number 1 like him he goes about it in a much different/worse way he uses others such as his wife and children to get what he wants and fights dirty and selfishly for his goals unlike Bakugou when he sees peopek that match his strength he sonar respect them he thinks of them as tools and enemy’s i find it really interesting that as to people who theoretically have the same goal priority’s and aggressive nature are prectily polar opposites in that sense

I find this episode as a good look into bakugous mindset and infiorty complex he has around Deku with how even tho he won the sports festival he still lost to Deku in the sense of todoroki using his full power on Deku and not him and how much todoroki respects Deku and finds him a worthy opponent and not bakugo I think it’s very interesting to pick up on him and why he was so angry at the end cause since the sludge incident he keeps getting beaten by the guy he grew up thinking was the weakest
