Sooo no idea what Disney did, cuz let's be honest, they made up their own Greek legends 😂 so when you said clay woman, I thought of Pandora. She was made to protect the box that carries the world's despair, but she was also made to be beautiful and desirable for someone. (Low-key makes me think of the song Doll People by Sofia Isella) but there's a few different versions of why she opens the box. One is out of anger and frustration that she was made for someone and couldn't be her own person, but the most common one is that she grew curious. Either way, she opens the box and every form of suffering is unleashed onto the world. Famine, illness, ect. But behind everything else, out flew hope, which had also been trapped in the box. Because why would we need hope if everything was "perfect?" Probably not the same story you're thinking, but eh, close enough~ lol bad things happen when you fuck with nature. (Though in the Greek myths, we are ALL made of clay. What gave us humanity was Promethius giving us souls/fire, and it pissed Zeus off so much, Promethius was eternally punished. Actually, pretty sure this same Myth was used in the Christian's Book of Enoch, where the humans were little more than monkey people and the guardian angels taught them how to build a society, and it angered Yaweh/God so much, he turned them into demons and destroyed the children the Guardians bore with the humans, the Niflheim. One of my favorite stories to come out of Abrahamic religions actually.

Great reaction! I'm glad y'all are loving the second season, it really adds to the characters. I think the myth Wes was thinking about is of the sculptor Pygmalion and his sculpture Galatea, who was brought to life by Aphrodite.

its funny that you brought up authors extending their story. thats what happened with 86. it was so popular that the author decided to flesh out the timeskip at the end of volume 1 which is what volume 2 and 3 were.
