WOAH FRIEREN TOO NO WAY THIS ANIME COLLECTION RN IS INCREDIBLE

Zak

didn't know frieren had started again, time for a gander on crunchyroll

BCloud

So fast 😃

ElijahLew

Oshi no Ko is also out btw!

RCG

Feels almost kind of nostalgic to finally see more of Frieren. They did such a good job keeping the mood and vibe, if you didn't know it could literally just be "next week's episode" after the season 1 finale.

ElijahLew

also the OP and ED are safe to watch and very beautiful!

SLF needs more love

The ED you can watch, but the OP there are parts that shows future characters but not plot points so it's up to you.

David Stern

Nice reaction! Also hope you guys are also doing the new season of Oshi no ko.

chefboyarkey

What is there even to spoil in frieren lol

mogeki

I mean, they are heading towards a desert: tundras are technically cold deserts, since it rarely rains. If the their north is like ours, it should get that cold.

John Spartan

Those aren't tombstones, those are shrines lol. The OP have characters that will obviously appear in the season, but I don't think it's spoilery at all. The ED is completely spoiler free

Roon

The hero of the south The next episode is going to be a good one 😊

Serathim

I don't think that was a grave stone at the end, I'm pretty sure that was a road side shrine, people would leave offerings at them in order to pray for safe travel. Also I just want to let you know that Konosuba season 4 was announced last year and It should be out either late this year or early next year and they dropped the season 3 OVA when they made the announcement so there is a tiny bit more of Konosuba to watch if you want while you wait for season 4.

Omer Durrani

Oh my days we are getting frieren reactions too?? You beautiful people spoil us way too much 😭

Bulgewave

Casting my vote for watching the intro and ending songs. No spoilers in either.

Whammadoodoo

Peak is back! Btw Frieren and co travel during spring and summer. They have six month mandatory breaks because winter is so fierce.

Cronshaw

This show loves call backs and parallels. The beginning of this episode is almost exactly the same as the first episode of season 1: The party in a wagon, Frieren reading a book, while they talk about jobs. Frieren even says "this seems familiar"

Fabien

The "mister Stark" translation is just a case of something difficult to translate, and thus being very approximative in english.

Fabien

I've read a large part of the manga, and in terms of visuals and immersion the animation studio did a really fantastic job (for this and s1). Some mangas are better in the original medium, but some like Frieren are just better animated.

KingKuto

Hope you guys react to ranking of kings, think you'll like it.

Brandon

this is such a great episode to continue on this new seasons journey!

Ethereal

The ED is 100% fine to watch, and honestly the OP too.

Jodash Narrandes

Hey guys, sorry for commenting on another post lmaoo, will we be getting a MoreSidemen reaction this week? 🙌🏽

Dell12 16

Yea, like the manga is good for sure, but the anime definitely elevates it to another level

Faceless

The ending is completely spoiler free and opening should be fine imo

Marty D

So happy to be back with Frieren

Marty D

I doubt she left the stone there, She probably found the nullifying stone because she suddenly couldnt use magic

kplrn

yep. and aside from the obvious more involved action scenes, they also add little things (like the callback to s1e1 with the conversation about work), and i remember the inn by the crossroads was literally a rectangle building just next to the sign in the manga. where here they added more details like showing a town in the distance and the inn being just down the road. i feel like things like that makes the world a little more fleshed out.

kplrn

well actually! lol the very dangerous area (the place where we need to have a first-class mage with us), is in the Northern Plateau. we're not there yet. this is just the same North we've been in since s1 e6

Mad Man Moon

Yeah, I think she just sensed it. Or sensed a lack of magic in the area or something like that.

winter

they could have taken the crystal with them and they throw away when in combat or throw it at an enemy and just send in stark to fight 😭

Dell12 16

True, a 3 meter radius is not that much. They could've just had Stark walk 3 meters behind or in front of them while carrying the crystal until they reached a town to sell it in. I think Fern just really hated the idea of her magic even having the possibility of being sealed off, she explains it later on in the cave that it terrifies her so that's probably why she was so adamant about leaving it behind.

C R

I think them throwing the crystal away makes perfect sense and is like a parallel with how they rejected the boat trip proposition : they prefer to enjoy the little detours and odd jobs on the way Travelling by boat is faster, easy and probably more comfortable but the point of their journey is not the destination, not really...(that's why they don't fly to go faster I'm guessing) Easy money or a mansion is not what they want... Frieren rejected Serie's one spell and Fern took a very practical one, nothing miraculous, bc working hard for it is more rewarding and brings more joy Something about the struggles has more appeal and after all it was said in the beginning that they want a "ridiculous and funny" adventure/stories to tell, following the path of Himmel 's party who will hear of their stories at the end of the journey Them escaping the monster in the crystal cave is the perfect story to tell

Renden

Ah man I'm gonna have to rewatch the whole season now huh

Renden

Ok I'm caught up

Tim Tim

6:15. I just started watching this episode but as a gamer, it feels like such a waste to leave such a useful gem behind. Stark could hide it somewhere and if he neaded to attack some mage he would be unbeatable... Or at least shatter it to small gems making it like a strong lantern hahah
