I completely forgot there was a promo episode for the movie lol. Sucks that it spoils what's going on in the anime where the episode interrupts, but hopefully you were both not paying a lot of attention to that, and that it was brief enough with enough distance away that you'll have forgotten about it! Can't wait for the movie! Haven't watched this 1 since it came out in cinemas lol

Im not really a fan of fillers in shonen anime normaly I dont really watch then and if I do I dont revisit them but this one is great its always fun to watch. Plus they actually tell you its filler at the start which doesnt happen normaly so thats great.

The point about the assumed social morality really struck a cord with me. I had an experience recently where I confronted a pickpocket that tried to steal from me and stole from another girl right after. I managed to hold him there for a few minutes, got the girl's phone back and of course I let people around me know what happened expecting that someone would help/call security. It happened in a train filled with people. What's interesting is that no one actually stepped in to help like I was expecting and eventually the guy pushed me and got away. Now the thing is, I'm not originally from the country that this happened in. I've grown up in a place where pickpocketing is quite common and usually people in public react to it. I found it insane that everyone just stood by and watched. Afterwards, I had a talk with a friend that grew up in this country, which is relatively safe. What he shared was that to him it would be unthinkable that someone would lie to his face. It made me realize the difference in perceived safety that both of us grew up in. It really shows how a person can get too comfortable in their environment.

Wow I've never thought I would like a filler like this, I think the first time I watched this I skipped it when all might said that it was a special episode lol but it was so entertaining! So excited for the movie!!

Bakugo was also defeated, but he didn't fail the exam like Sero because at least he was able to stand up to All Might while Deku ran way, Sero was defeated instantly. It didn't matter that he saved Mineta; he knew he was going up against Midnight, he knew what quirk she had , and yet he couldn't hold his breath for even a second.

Bakugou passed because he got his partner out not because of standing up to All Might; and Sero never "gave up" he was surprise attacked from behind and wasn't prepared for it like he should have, if anything he let his guard down too fast and that got him failed.

I doubt they weren't paying attention to the spoiler, but the way they reacted to it kinda shows me that they were intentionally trying to not think about it too hard.

I really love how much you guys pick up on the bread crumbs that they leave in this show and the theorize based off that you guys pick up on stuff I havnt seen any other reactors have like I’m all for hating villains especially ones who do really bad things but It’s like a breath of fresh air watching reactors taking the time to see into their character beyond just being a villan their motivations,morality and personality that is written in for them I personally find shigeraki so intriguing I think he really has a very complex veiw on morality but also justice that is really warped in a more sinister way than stains it’s not even like he is trying to be more evil he genuinely believes that the people with the warped morality is everyone else and he will prove right to his beliefs of humanity once all might is gone Idk I won’t go on a tangent t much I think it’s kinda obvious why he doesn’t where his hands in public like in pretty sure everyone knows what he looks like with them on lol it makes sense he wouldn’t wear them in public but it’s also something to think about regardless excited for you guys to see the movie!!

Omg, you're gonna watch the movies?! Hell ya! So excited! Lol I REALLY like the character developments that happen in them, and the show makes more sense in certain areas with the context from the movies. 🥰 Plus, I think they're pretty fun and awesome for anime movies. Me and my cousin went to see every one in theaters. Also, on the note of Bakugo giving teamwork tips, they actually showed him having good tactical teamwork skills in earlier episodes, so he has always had the capability. It was only was it comes to Deku, or inaction that we see his rationale fall apart and explode in that department 😂 I think that is what makes him such an interesting character even before later episodes/movies. He feels like a character that should be all brawn to Deku's brain, but Baku is in some ways a lot more logical and tactical than Deku, like we saw in their fight in S1 and the practical exam against All Might, or Bakugo's fight with Uraraka, we saw a lot more of his practical reasoning. Deku gets super in his head at times, or too emotional, so when Bakugo is able to be reasonable, he can outsmart Deku. Then in other areas, his hot-headedness gets the better of him, because he tends to underestimate others around him, or how I see it in other areas, gets too pressured to prove himself and true to perfectionism, starts getting the "to do it right, I need to do it myself, and also strive for complete perfection in myself" mentality, where he stops being able to rely on others. It was a character growth moment in the prologue though, when he cut off his own line of thinking and the others' to draw attention to Deku, saying "you thought of something, didn't you?" Normally, he wouldn't even entertain Deku outshining him like that, but I think he grew to respect Deku more in their fight with All Might, and was able to put aside ego in order to pass the test. He probably could've eventually figured out at least the practical side of the investigation, and maybe even that the "villain" was alive and took off, because we are told that he was the highest graded examiner to get into UA besides Deku from their school, but he wouldn't have been able to figure out the things about Midnight covering up the motives and such, and I think perhaps he felt upset about his first mistake and doubted himself, let Deku do his thing, and kinda stopped trying to figure anything out, shutting down his own reasoning brain. At least, that's my way of looking at it based on what we know about him, and also how I tend to respond at times because of my own bad perfectionist habits. I tend to do worse in group activities than solo because either I will take on too much, thinking it will be better if I just do all the work to guarantee my grade, overwhelming myself.. Or, if there is someone in the group who feels more competent, I start to feel insecure about my own capabilities, allow them to take over, and I will shut down and get in my head, essentially doubting I can add anything of value, even if sometimes, it turns out that I SHOULD have spoken up about things that I second-guessed myself on. Failed a few group projects purely based on someone feeling more confident, and more capable, so I'd do things their way despite my own reservations and knowledge, and then get mad at myself for letting us bomb the whole thing based on the fact someone was just better at speaking for themselves 😅 so knowing Bakugo is always under high pressure, feels threatened by Deku, is a complete perfectionist, I can totally see him completely shutting off his brain as soon as he starts feeling like Deku knew more about the situation than him and he'd have nothing to provide. Sometimes as a perfectionist, it's easier to just give up than to fail when trying and look stupid.

Not to doubt it has to do with the environment and culture there, but to add to the psychology that might've been involved too; there's a thing called bystander effect, where for whatever reason, a lot of people seeing something unfold, assume that someone else will do something. For some, it's because they don't want to get involved, some are afraid to, thinking they will not only be of no help, but also would hinder others, and some think that it would be better if not too many people get involved, and they're just not the type to be the volunteer (sometimes, it's true that it's bad for too many people to help, because during disasters, people flood the hotlines and make getting help take longer) Anyway, so police and doctors suggest that instead of assuming someone will volunteer help, or shouting "someone please help! Call the police/ambulance!" What people need to do is target a specific person and tell them to call because (blank) and if other tasks need to be deligated, like getting water or helping to hold someone, tell another specific person to do that task. Good on you for stopping them and all though, that is actually very brave nowadays, because it is super dangerous. It is unfortunate they got away, but at least nobody got hurt. Hopefully if it ever happens to you again, knowing about bystander effect will help to change how others respond around you 😅 It's not super full-proof, cuz sometimes even if you tell someone to do something, they panic and can't, which has happened a few times to me (for eg. cousin had a seizure and my mom couldn't process anything I was instructing her, so I had to call and push her out of the way to follow operator instructions, or some DV stuff that happened at home and people hesitated too long) but it can help more than waiting, at least, and if there are more people involved, you can tell someone else if the first person doesn't follow through. I think people who are not used to seeing crime unfold like the country you are talking about, just experience bystander effect worse than a place where it's a little more common place. Sort of like someone who has never experience an earthquake before might not know how to act or respond when they do experience it for the first few times.

Ok, so probably it has been mentioned to you before, but some fan facts about the characters ( mainly class A, and All Might ). Their names, at least phonetically ( maybe in kanji writing too, I am not 100% sure ), give hints about some of their core personality / personality traits and / or abilities. And in the case of All Might and Midoriya, it shows which number holder they are for the One For All quirk. Examples for this, Katsuki Bakugo can be taken to mean " Desire to Win ( Katsuki ) Strong Explosion ( Bakugo ), or Minoru Mineta, with Minoru meaning " to ripen " or "to bear fruit ", which relates to his quirk. Yaoyorozu Momo too, with the Kanji for Yaoyorozu, as seen in her estates entrance ( when they visited to be taught by her ), it's literal meaning is " 8 million ", but Yaoyorozu as figurative meaning is " many things ". Kaminari Denki is the most literal naming corelation to his abilities, because it translates to " Lightning " ( Kaminari ) "Electricity / Electrical Energy" ( Denki ) Ida Tenya, with his given name, phonetically, can be taken to mean " Heavenly Arrow" , referring to his speed quirk... etc etc As for Midoriya Izuku and All Might ( Toshinori Yagi ) both have a part of their names that can be read as a number ( Ku and Ya respectively, with 9 and 8 ), and Midori means green ( hence his overall green pallette) and Yagi means goat ( the way his deflated form resembles one, and cause he's the GOAT of his universe ) Oh, and P.S., many of the locations ( such as the train station, the beach Deku trained in etc ) have names from the Star Wars franchise It is something that I always found fun as I watched and read the series, and thought to share. I just wanna share this, not for reactions or anything, just sharing, there's a YT channel called "Orchid4Hire" who makes compilations that contain the voice actors of the cast (with English subtitles) and it's just a ton of fun to see the people behind the characters being silly.
