Beautiful People of The Internet what a poll! Thank you to everyone who participated! This is by far the most votes we've ever received on a poll!

As of now, the plan is to catch up on the Hell's Paradise, Frieren and JJK episodes we have missed and then to start not one, not two, but THREE series!

Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai

Fate (we will probably run a poll of some sort to figure out watch order, because I know there is some controversy here)

Dr. Stone

It was nuts seeing three shows basically tie for first, with (460, 458 & 457 votes respectively).

We will also attempt to add highly voted shows from the results to our filming schedule as seasonals allow and/or if they make a lot of sense from a youtube or length perspective!

Thanks again guys! We were blown away by the participation! Love Y'all!

Comments

Jonesy

all my prayers have been answered

Moroni W

No worries! We were def fighting hard in the comments but glad to see you guys back!

Gustavo

Dr. Stone finally made it 😭🙌

Exac Gaming

Damn I was hoping for Jojos

Joshua Moore

Personally I like fate zero more then stay night but it is a prequel

starrk

Niceee, happy that Dr. Stone made it! Thanks

teru

Monster should've won, is the perfect anime for you guys

BlackFlame

Finally Dr stone.. I have been asking for it for nearly two years lol.. Next would be nice to see Kuroko no basket and Magi get included in the polls.. both are little more niche, but they are great choices. Kuroko no basket’s mangaka actually taught a lot of haikyuu’s mangaka.. and was a direct inspiration.

Bambi

Aw yeah get excited

ElijahLew

Bocchi might have a chance aswell :D

Gulu

Fate Zero's the prequel, so makes sense to watch it first.

Gurocandii

Bunny girl senpai winning is such a win for ppl who only really watch SoL and adjacent genres 🙏🏻 so happy lol

chefboyarkey

Thank god no eminence. Listen Dr. Stone is elite, only seen fate stay/night and zero, rascal is kinda boring but has some good characters…I can breath now whew

Renden

Sounds great. I'll update the Poll History sheet.

Kian Kavanagh

Very excited to see your dr stone reactions, funnily enough it’s part of the reason I’m doing my biology masters and want to go into pharmaceutical work

Rinesh Dodah

Nice love the reactions cant wait to see them and i love the One piece reaction there so good

humphrey-t-humphrington

If they're considering shorter shows in the season slots bocchi definitely has a good chance

DemoniCross

I think Fate is really good fit for you guys, I know you'll enjoy it. For me its Fate Zero, Fate Stay Night UBW, Heavenly movies, and finally the new Fake(?). I havent watched the last one yet but I heard it fits there.

S0ulSp4de

Dammit, only Fate is interesting for me. :) I guess the possible watch order would be 1. F/SN (2006) -> F/Z -> F/SN (UBW) -> FSN (Heaven Feels Movies) 2. F/Z -> F/SN (UBW) -> FSN (Heaven Feels Movies) 3 F/SN (UBW) -> F/Z -> FSN (Heaven Feels Movies)

Rostislav

MiA has chance 🤞

A.G

Fate is indeed the best one here. Also #2 is the correct watch order. 2006 is not needed

Sharrpfangs

When the first episode of rascal dropping so I can mark the calendar

Shiroufan11

I had a heart attack for a second since my eyes skipped over fate at first, glad to see that dr stone losing 2nd by a point wasn't a determining factor

Rostislav

No, too much spoilers for the "future"

Tert

I haven't watched Fate or Bunny Senpai, so I'm excited to watch them with y'all!

Snowlif

I used to pray for times like this

Dekent

I feel like yall should start bracketing animes into like 5-26 eps, 26-70 eps, and 70+ eps to limit the long running ones. Multiple shows that take a year can be a disheartening if it's not your cup of tea and can give some of the shorter/less popular ones a chance.

Leandro Calderón

Both #2 or #3 are fine, I think 2006 is not an improvement over UBW.

Hayate

Fate Stay Night is basically a story with three routes. But one of those route was adapted in 2006 so it's a bit old. If you plan to watch everything, It would be: 1/ Fate Stay Night 2006 2/ Fate Zero 3/ Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works 4/ Fate Stay Night Heaven's Feel (3 movies) Fate Zero is great both as a standalone anime and a starting point but obviously you will appreciate it a lot more if you start with FSN 2006 first.

VIcK

Honestly love these results!! I will be watching all of them, SOOO EXCITED 💕

Gulu

Second beat imo. Fate stay night shouldn't even be considered with how dog it is 😭

Super Gamer Q

You made the history sheet a lot more fun since last time. I hope you paid for the yearly subscription, I want to see you here for every poll to update it

Renden

Rascal isn't *too* long, at least

eXxCeZz

There is no controversy on the fate watch order. There is only one. The right one. And it's called the VN - JK

Renden

@Super Gamer Q, I have. Don't worry. 🙂

Skull Knight

There weren't enough Jojo fans to sway the vote unfortunately

SLF needs more love

About catching up, you will have 1 episode if JJK right now, by Thursday you will have 2 episodes to catch up to. Frieren 1 episode and by Friday 2 episodes. Oshi No Ko you have 5 episodes and Hell's Paradise you have 1 episodes and next week at Sunday you will have 1 more.

Super Gamer Q

Hearing they may add highly voted shows if it makes sense from length perspective gives a few options, going from most likely to least: 1- Bocchi The Rock 12 Episodes (S2 Delayed but In Production) 2- Made in Abyss 25 Episodes + 2 Movies 3- Eminence in Shadow 32 Episodes + 1 Movie 4- Assassination Classroom 47 Episodes, 1 OVA, (Fully finished series) 5- TenSura (Slime) 72 Episodes (excluding S4 Count) + A lot of Spin-offs, OVAs, a Movie I really don't see Tensura being picked for being easily the longest and being highly voted, but it might get pity award for losing 8/8 polls, they could feel bad for it. Jojo's is very long, that was my cutoff point cuz Bleach was next so no way. Most likely Bocchi The Rock, Made in Abyss, Assassination Classroom or Eminence in Shadow will be/should be picked from the info they said

eXxCeZz

That's kinda wrong as zero spoils heaven's feel. They should go the traditional route of fate stay night -> ubw -> heaven's feel -> zero Though I personally hope they start with zero

Chels

Omg I'm so excited for ya'll to react to Rascal (the name is awful, but the pathos of the show is so good) I think you guys will have crazy theories. Dr. Stone is also gonna be awesome for Wesley I think because it is heavily "how things work" based. Fate is an interesting choice 🤔 it isn't typical for your channel, except for the fact it's a death game similar to Hell's Paradise approach. I low-key feel people are trying to torture ya'll by voting for it 😂 but it is a old favorite for a lot of people. Curious how you'll react to it lol

C

Edited version Fate got selected, yay! So this is going to be a context of what is Fate and a guide of the watch orders of people and why there is a controversy on this. First thing to understand is that Fate was originally a Visual Novel (like Steins;Gate) named Fate/stay night with 3 routes. This 3 routes being Fate route, Unlimited Blade Works route and Heaven's Feel route. Unlike what people usually think, this routes have to be played in certain order. That’s because Fate/stay night have what is known as "enforced playing order". This means that you cannot start and go whatever route you want. You start with Fate, then after completing Fate, Unlimited Blade Works is unlocked, and after completing that one Heaven’s Feels is unlocked. But why is the Visual Novel like this? Storytelling reasons. The routes are not stand alone stories. The routes are thematic sequels that continue with the information, the themes and the revelations of the previous one. And because of that, the order to see Fate is important. Now, this is my opinion and take. Let’s call this perspective the… "Visual Novel Order bros". Fate/stay night have adaptations for all 3 routes. So I think they should watch Fate in the order that was intended. To respect the vision of the original author and what he wants to tell. So it would be: -Fate/stay night (2006): 24 chapters -Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works - Prologue (2014): 1 episode -Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works - Season 1 (2014): 12 episodes -Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works - Season 2 (2015): 13 episodes -Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works - Sunny Day (2015): 1 special -Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel Movie I: Presage Flower (2017): 1 movie -Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel Movie II: Lost Butterfly (2019): 1 movie -Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel Movie III: Spring Song (2020): 1 movie That’s the best order to start in my opnion. Also there are 2 compilation movies for the 2006 stay night. No need to watch it. And there is also a movie for Unlimited Blade Works released in 2010. No need to watch that one since the Unlimited Blade Works TV series is a better adaptation. Now regarding the spin-offs. Take into account that every spin-off presuppouses that you have already at least watch Fate/stay night. Yeah, that includes Fate/Zero. I know a lot of you guys love Fate/Zero. But I think it should be watched after Fate/stay night. Again, to respect the vision of the author. Fate/Zero released after Fate/stay night. The author thought of it as something you watch after Fate/stay night and there is a lot of elements that play with that premise on the series. Just like with Steins;Gate. You first watch Steins;Gate and then Steins;Gate 0. Now let’s move the next suggestion. We will call this perspective the "Zero bros". So this one consist on starting with Fate/Zero (2 seasons, 25 episodes in total). This one is probably the most popular one. The one that is most propagated in the anime community. Why people want you to start with Zero? -First, because in their opinion Zero is the best Fate ever. -Second, because in their opinion Fate/stay night is the one that spoils Zero so they want you guys to avoid that. -Third, in their opinion the spoilers that Zero gives you are not enough to ruin your Fate/stay night experience. -Fourh, they don’t like Fate/stay night at all. This last one is just some of the "Zero bros". And the last perspective. Let’s call this one the "Release bros". They want you guy to watch the show in the release order of the animes. That is: -Fate/stay night (2006) -Fate/Zero (2011) -Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (2014) -Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel (2017) Why in this order? This "release bros" think that Zero spoils Fate/stay night. But also believe that the animes of Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven’s Feel are better after watching Fate/Zero. Due to payoff and some anime decisions. I don’t think there is much more to explain about this one. So that’s it. Those are the context and the perspective of the community of watch orders. I personally want the first one. The Visual Novel order. But I tried to explain the other perspectives. Not much in deep unfortunately. But I wish this helps. Have a good day and sorry for the long comment.

Super Gamer Q

this is a copypasta at this point, it has the same copy paste messages again

sangoire

YESSSS FINALLY DR STONE!!! SO HAPPY AND EXCITED OMG I can finally sleep in peace now LMAO

Kindyh Bordat

Tanya the Evil didn't win once again, same for To be hero X T-T. But at least there is Bunny girl i can discover with you guys, and i'd be nice to watch the fate anime since i've only read the Stay night manga.

Super Gamer Q

S2 will bring the hype back. that show is long forgotten, a shame it took a decade to return

C

I see. My bad. I will modified it so it’s less copy/paste. Sorry about that.

Super Gamer Q

I just want your message to be a bit more personalised, I've seen it many times now, reminds me of graduation speeches, they have to be the same but pretend to be the first time

Super Gamer Q

that is the only right, non-controversal answer. well done, you united Fates fans on something

Heather

Fate is not even good. Yall obsession needs to be studied. There are way more other shows thwy would enjoy more

Kantzo

I never continued Dr Stone because i heard it was just like a "simple" show with "math problems". Like, there isnt anything deep going on that it would be worth so many season to see. I guess i will give it a chance again, i have only watched the 2 first episodes a while ago

Semi-addict-gamer

Guess I’ll just watch One Piece, and wait until every other show is done, for me to have another anime beside One Piece.

Heather

Omg I can't wait there gonna love doctor stone. Im so happy for them. I can literally see the conversations they have each episode lol

Ethereal

Do you understand what a prequel is? Usually, they're watched after by definition.

The Anime Dude

Hope they start with Fate / Zero, then movie to Unlimited Blade Works, then Heaven’s Feel Movies

BlackFlame

The story is very well thought out.. the science is 99% correct.. and very well researched.. the show is also great for kids.. no toddlers.. but teens..it has some degree of fan service so i wouldn’t put it G.. but it’s PG and 13+.. and it’s a great show to show to kids to get them invested in science and the outside world. The plot is really good, and it has great character development despite it having many many characters, I personally haven’t heard anyone say it was simple, quite the opposite Infact.. but opinion is just that, an opinion. But it’s definitely not what you thought it is.

C

Well, I wrote the whole comment so is already personalised. Is not like a literal copy/paste I find somewhere. I'm the author of that. But I get what you're saying. I will change it to be more a context and a guide of the watch orders of people and why they want it like that. So it can help them.

Super Gamer Q

I can already see a war between your side and the other side next poll. Good luck

Gulu

Sure, but in that case let's just consider UBW the sequel to Zero. It did come after Zero anyways.

marco

Great picks

Infinite Winds

I'm gonna try to condense to as little as possible. Fate/Stay Night is the original series. It is split into 3 parts. All 3 have an anime adaption. They are: Fate/Stay Night (2006) Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel Many people will want to skip part 1 because it is dated and animated by the literal devil of anime studios. The reason any part can be skipped at all is because they take place in different timelines. Fate/Zero is a prequel series to Fate/Stay Night. Events in Fate/Zero spoil Fate/Stay Night and events in Fate/Stay Night spoil Fate/Zero. If you hold a poll, the variation of Zero first and skip 2006 will almost certainly win. I would prefer the opposite but it is what it is.

Caraxes🐐DT

Fruits basket will win one day 🥹

Ethereal

I'm incredibly pleased one of my choices got in (Fate franchise). I recommend these entries. - Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works (2014 - Ufotable version) - Fate/Stay Night Heaven's Feel (3 movies) - Fate/Zero - Fate/Strange Fake I would ignore the 2006 version of Fate/Stay Night (Studio DEEN's version). It was a bad adaptation. As for order... Start with Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works (2014), considering Fate/Stay Night is the beginning of the Fate franchise, and it's the original visual novel. Once you finished the Fate/Stay Night Heaven's Feel movies, you can jump to Fate/Zero (prequel to F/SN). Some will say start with Fate/Zero instead, which I don't particularly mind. Fate/Strange Fake is ongoing and you can keep as last.

Infinite Winds

We should leave the stuff beyond Stay Night and Zero for later for now

Fabien

The thing is that the anime adaptations messed up the correct order, and then added stuff which could maybe kinda make the "anime order" scenaristically relevant (but actually, no). So, even if there are consequently no correct order indeed, I think you're right to favor the normal order from the source material (visual novels and novels). Starting from Zero, is like starting Star Wars from episode 1, it doesn't make a lot of sense scenaristically. Despite the things they changed (it would have been if they didn't...). Well, not a big deal anyway, it's hard to really understand fate in general with just the animes, correct order or not, so I think the main appeal will be the (awesome) battles. Despite the vast, bottomless, gargantuan lore of this universe.

Barry

Nothing there for me but have fun the people who do.

Temojikato

We're actually watching Fate? DAMN, I'm so hyped

Gavern

I agree with eXxCeZz. Zero spoils at least three things in episode one alone for Heaven's Feel. It should absolutely be saved for last. Even if they start with watching the Deen series. Though in that case I would advocate for using the fan edits that cut out a lot of the same spoilers.

Temojikato

I NEVER understand why you would ever skip Stay Night, truly. It's just extra info, it's not bad at all. Just watch in release order, it's real simple.

Gavern

I am avidly against all of those watch orders. Fate/Stay Night (2006) *fan edits -> Unlimited Bladeworks -> Heaven's Feel -> Fate/Zero is the best way to watch it so Zero doesn't spoil Heaven's Feels big reveals.

Gavern

Fate/Zero shouldn't be watched before Heaven's Feel as it spoils a lot of reveals.

James

The new Ghost in the Shell series being released in July might be a good seasonal anime to watch. Long time fans since the 90s are excited about this as it’s supposedly staying faithful to the original manga (first anime to do this), and also, it’ll be one of the rare anime for 2026 that is airing the first season, so there’s a chance this will become one of the more popular ones for this year.

Gulu

Are you saying you should watch fate zero after Heaven's feel?

C0n So

orb getting slept on, as per usual

Gavern

Release order spoils big reveals for Heaven's Feel. I feel like W&S are the kind of people who would prefer Zero last so they can experience the big reveals as actual reveals, rather than knowing everything from the beginning.

TK

I feel your pain, been requesting it since it came out, sadly we live in a democratic republic on patreon, if only there was corruption lmao

Gavern

Yes, Zero should be after Heaven's Feel. The first episode alone spoils a handful of big reveals.

C

Ok, I edited some parts, and expand some others. I hope that is ok.

Eucri Diaz

Happily surprised that Bunny Girl Senpai won 1st place. Hope you dont skip the OP and ED. Specially the ED since they vary from arc to arc and the song is pretty good!

NoSoupRice

I can finally start getting into it lmfao

SLF needs more love

Right now, it looks like Spring will be Re:Zero season 4, Summer will be Mushoku Tensi season 3, and Fall will be Apothecary Diaries season 3. So the rest of the year will be less busy then what this Winter was.

Atlas Creation

I’m okay with doctor stone mostly for the discussion aspect. I’m not against bunny girl. I heard people say it’s unique and good so I checked out the first episode and I’m intrigued. I don’t know many episodes and movies fate has but I’m surprised they’re taking on another long show. It’s mostly just long shows they’ve taken

RCG

They took what people voted for; it’s not like they picked them themselves. And as already said, they might add some shorter or seasonal shows in between if possible.

Matthew Wise

The battle for the Fate watch order will be bloodier than the holy grail war, see you all there! XD

Htatki

Fate should be Zero -> UBW -> Heaven's feel. They shouldn't need to touch original F/SN

Infinite Winds

Well technically its just a plain old democracy without the republic, old greek style as we all just essentially gather on top of a hill and shout to get our voices heard directly. But maybe we should have representatives instead.

XoDanii

Ohhh My Goodness…. Dr. Stone…. WE MADE IT BBY!

Mia

If your lie in April couldn’t make it, I’m glad dr stone did

Just Mav

"We will also attempt to add highly voted shows from the results to our filming schedule" -- *hopes for TenSura, after it was denied for 8 polls*

kinetic98

Dr Stone might be a bit too heavy, the MC's addiction to drugs is quite depressing to see

Renden

Are you like, a pathological liar or something? What are you talking about?

Gavern

Zero should be last. Ufotable should never have made it before there was a Heaven's Feel adaptation.

Tatsuke44

Fate main order should go with Fate/Zero -> Fate/SN UBW -> Fate/SN Heaven Feel -> Fate/SN (This one is optional since I know this one didn't aged well since it aired 2006, but I still want wes and steph to watch all the fate series even the bad one) After that you can watch the other Fate series that still connect to Fate/SN series but at the same time not, anyway you can watch this at any order: •Fate/Apocrypha •Fate/Grand Order (this one is abit incompleted since it is from a game adaptation, and it only adapt some of the game chapter) •Fate/Prototype (This one is an OVA 1 episode) •Fate/Kaleid (Um... This one has some questionable scene to show but if you can bypass that some weird scene in the series, this one is a good decent Fate/series that has some really cool fight) •Fate/Strange fake •Fate/Extra Last Encore (The story is very confusing if you're not familiar with the game Fate/Extra) •Fate Grand/Carnival (This one is best watched after you have watched every Fate/Grand Order) •Carnival Phantasm ( This one is a bit confusing to watched since the charcter that shown in the show is Fate/SN + Tsukihime. Tsukihime is one of the Visual Novel game that Type moon created which also created Fate/SN that also originally a VN) • Emiya-san Chi no Kyou no Gohan

Ryne

I'm definitely interested in your reactions to all three series. That's rare for a poll in my experience.

Subaru

bruh thinks Dr. Stone is STONED lol. whatever ur smoking keep it away from us hah

KeanuofRivia

Have yall actually not heard what the shows about???

KeanuofRivia

Zero being last is wack... I understand doing UBW before it, tho not my personal choice but Heaven's feel should definitely be the last in line. Also really wish they'd remake the original so people could just start there with no questions

Tatsuke44

Anyway I forgot to clarify that VN stand for Visual Novel. Other series that outside Fate/Series but is done by Type moon: •Tsukihime (Skip this if you like since this one is a shit adaptation) •Kara no kyoukai/Garden of sinner (This one is my personal favorite outside fate series, but need some correction on how to watch this due to the story timeline is not based on released date of the movie aired) •Mahoutsukai no Yoru (This one is not aired yet, but is set to aired this year. This one is one of my favorite in term of Visual Novel that Type moon released)

SLF needs more love

They should skip the OP until episode 10. But for the ED they should watch it every time it is available

Gavern

Zero spoils many of the big reveals from Heaven's Feel. For people like W&S who like to avoid spoilers, watching Zero first makes it so they would know the answer to almost everything that the other shows are treating like a mystery beforehand.

Erik

Just watch Fate/zero -} Fate/Unlimited Blade Work -} Fate/Heaven Feel

Gavern

I don't get the obsession with Zero first. Zero was made with the intention that you know the other three routes before going in. It heavily spoils so much of the mystery elements in Heaven's Feel in just the first episode.

Erik

Is it just the simplest and easiest for non Fate fan to get into Fate. Bruh, whatever you watch first you gonna get spoils one-way or another

C

The simplest way is always going with the original vision of the author, aka the FSN trilogy.

Erik

Ah yes, on that note then just read the original Visual Novel

Gavern

Not really, Zero isn't spoiled by Heaven's Feel. Heaven's Feel is spoiled by Zero. You can't spoil a prequel, you are meant to already know all the "spoilers" when you go in. People don't say that 'Empire Strikes Back' spoils the prequel trilogy because it tells you that Anakin is Darth Vader. Like I said before, Fate/Stay Night is built on mystery, and 90% of that mystery is ruined by watching Zero first. In Heaven's Feel specifically, so many big reveals fall flat because you'll have already known about them for 30-40 episodes, not even knowing they were supposed to be a mystery.

James

Studio Gek decided to watch Orb without a poll and they are loving it as there’s lots to discuss and it’s intellectually stimulating.

DFrench125

I'd also add Strange/Fake in there; really enjoyable entry into the series

vivaan

ayyy i love this so much

Gavern

Zero is the prequel and should be watched after the three initial routes.

juss2000

Orb one day...

Krimsonwulf

it is interesting to see the different choices made between Fate/stay night and Unlimited blade works. If they watch that first then UBW it is quite the shock, as I know from experience.

Renden

I feel like it's an inevitability at some point.

CD Elio

One day friend one day

Tatsuke44

Well I can see where you're coming from considering if you're watching zero first, you will get some spoiler from the F/SN. But still due to my preference on watching something on chronological order, I rather have zero first.

Gavern

I would suggest to not do a poll, and instead listen to our arguments and decide based on your own preferences. But if you would rather do a poll, the biggest contention is on whether Fate/Zero goes last or first so that would be the best way to word it. (My own suggestion is that it gets watched last as it is a prequel and spoils the other series big reveals.)

Omer Durrani

Regarding Fate, I think many people would agree (hopefully) to ignore the 2006 adaptation by Studio Deen and watch the Ufotable (demon slayer studio) adaptations. Now for those, I personally prefer the release order by the studio themselves which is: Fate Zero (2011 - 2012) Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works (2014 - 2015) Fate Stay Night Heavens Feel (Movie Trilogy) (Movie 1 - 2017, Movie 2 - 2019, Movie 3 - 2020) THAT constitutes the flagship Fate series. NOW IF WE GO INTO FURTHER FATE (I REALLY HOPE YOU GUYS DO IT IS AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FRANCHISE THAT I NEED YOU AMAZING PEOPLE TO EXPERIENCE) We'll cover that when we get to it :) ALSO BUNNY GIRL SENPAI AND DR STONE!!! TOP TOP TOP CHOICES BY THE COMMUNITY LOVE YA'LL!!!

Ramms

I agree even though it's not the release order it is canonical

Gavern

Why do you want Zero first? In my opinion it is the absolute worst place to start, and shouldn't be touched til after Heavens Feel.

Omer Durrani

Honestly I just mentioned my preference. Im a FATE fan, as long as they skip the Deen adaptation I'm fine. I JUST NEED THEM TO GET INTO FATE MAN. THE MORE THEY CONSUME THE MORE I GET TO WATCH. I have waited for so long for this beautiful day... ima cry

LynxedFables

Honestly, I can’t wait for the watch order poll to be over. Ngl, kinda wish I could go back to the time before I was privy to the warfare in the trenches of the Fate fandom. Does anyone have any tips on how to not let internet arguments ruin a piece of media you’ve loved for a long time? I know it sounds kind of dramatic, and I’m doing my best to not let it get to me, but it’s affecting me more than I thought it would.

Gavern

It's not only 'some' spoilers though. It's spoils so many things about Heavens Feel in just the first episode. It was originally written after the original series by a completely different writer, who himself says it isn't meant to be the starting point for Fate.

Gavern

I don't thin Deen should get skipped. Maybe watched later to avoid spoilers, or starting with it watching the fan edits. It is the only route that with a focus on Saber.

Omer Durrani

Sure, after the flagship fate, go for it. As long as we do flagship ufotable fate first.

Renden

Mentally separate the media from the fanbase. You can enjoy something without other people validating that enjoyment, and you can like something for reasons other than it's popularity.

Micah Steinhoff

Weirdly I've had similar experiences with the Arcane fanbase, the way I've distanced myself is that I left all social media chats surrounding it. Which also helps in day-to-day happiness. We as humans can only take so much stimuli, treat yourself to just enjoying a show by yourself once and awhile.

S0ulSp4de

I think you either start with the 2006 F/SN or you skip it. Most will not enjoy it after watching the later ones.

Mautine88's Sims

no... this watch order has mad spoilers in it. UBW>FZ>FEEL>MALLIO

Gavern

Zero doesn't even spoil much from UBW specifically though. It spoils Heaven's Feel the most, which is why Zero should be saved for last.

Super Gamer Q

If they choose TenSura over the other highly voted shows that are much shorter and also denied for many polls I will be shocked. TenSura will come back for every poll and eventually win, Bocchi, MiA, Assassination classroom, Eminence, may not have that nomination performance.

SkyCloudX

I don't think the Deen adaptation should be skipped at all. It's the original route that you are supposed to play through before you are even able to play the other routes. I get that the production is way worse but it's the only adaptation we have of the original Fate route. If there is no intention of playing the original Visual Novel, that should not be skipped imo.

starrk

Stay away from social media posts about things you love. Cause most of the time it will be negative and it will just drain you trying to argue with them. Same thing with things you want to watch. Don't listen to reviews and just watch it and form your own opinion. I liked stranger things s5 but when i see posts on twitter about it i just scroll past without reading it cause i know it will be negative and it will just ruin my day. So don't bother and stay away from social media posts that will just lead to pointless arguments. If you loved a show or a movie then you don't need anyone else's validation

starrk

Why are you lying bro? If you didn't like that it won the poll then just don't watch. Why lie and give them false information

starrk

Did you not like those first 2 episodes? Or you just stopped because of what other people said? Atleast watch 1 whole season of a show and if you didn't like it then stop. But if you are enjoying then continue watching it. Don't base your actions on the opinion of other people especially in the internet. For me Dr. Stone is a really good show and it's well written and enjoyable to watch. Give it a chance and form your own opinion.

daeFoxx

Regarding the fate watch order, skip the 2006 adaption, and i would argue that you should watch fate/zero after the fate stay night adaptions, as fate zero spoils fate stay night because it was written after fate stay night

C

I don’t agree with skipping Deen. Deen adaptation is important and is part of Fate too. You guys make it sound like is the worst thing ever when it’s ok.

C

@Erik I mean the point is giving them an experience similar to reading the VN. That is, the original intention of the author and the way the story makes more sense.

C

Another thing to add to my other comment is that Fate/stay night 2006 have important characterization of the most important character of the franchise. So I would definetly not skip it. People make it sound like it’s horrible. But the reality is that is as good as an adaptation as the Ufotable ones. Is only that the animation is oudated. Is also the only adaptation of the Fate route. Aka, the important introduction to the saga (refer to my comment down below for more info). It should be watched, and it should be the first one! I'm a mega fan of Fate and after years of being in the community and reading almost everything there is to read I can assure you this is the best way!

BrandonM

For length purposes, Bocchi makes plenty of sense. For YouTube purposes, Jojo’s (especially since you can cleanly divide into parts early on) also makes plenty of sense. Hope we get those as surprises down the line!

S0ulSp4de

I also don't understand all this Deen hate all the time. I guess a lot of fans nowadays started with this "horrible" adaptation and turned into fans, no one would have known about the franchise other way. It has his weakness, so? Does everything needs to be absolut perfect to be enjoyable? Everything unter "peak" is just garbage or what?

Shiroufan11

It’s funny to imagine that there are probably like 50+ versions as to how to start the series when it would be simplest to just do a poll for either fsn 2006, UBW or zero. Then what to watch next can be discussed after the first series is finished

Jon

For Fate Skip 2006 series Start with either Zero or Unlimited Bladeworks (UBW) Watch Movies after UBW So either: Zero, UBW, Movies (Also release order) or UBW, Movies, Zero I generally prefer newcomers do the release order

F l y

I feel wes is GOING TO LOVE Dr. Stone, its definitely a very if not the most unique anime out there. So exited

Gavern

Zero spoils Heavens Feel. For all intents and purposes it is a spin off that should be saved for after. Zero should only be the starting point if either; you are only ever going to watch one Fate show, or if you care about flashy visuals and hype moments over the impact of the story. Also the 2006 series is still important to watch (either as the fan edits, or after Heaven's Feel), as it is the only show that has any focus on Saber.

Yellow_Flash

GET EXCITED 🗣‼️ Its finally time for dr stone

Stevie Wonder

I will be there whenever Bocchi the rock wins one of these. Meanwhile, really good shows, can‘t go wrong with either of those!

Ougi

@Gavern Ppl always say 'Zero spoils Heavens feel' but it only rlly spoils one important reveal (even then, its not the same as spoiling since it can even enhance a viewing experience ALSO u could argue the same the kther way around, so its a circular argument), and heavens feel leaves ALOT from the VN out, so having the context from Zero makes for a better viewing experience all around. This is also true to a lesser extent with UBW, with 1 reveal (the one that happens when Last stardust plays, about the sheathe), it feels like it comes from nowhere when u don't have the context from Zero. Also knowing Kiritsugu beforehand makes understanding Shirou alot easier when the anime leaves out alot of his internal thoughts from the VN. VN readers often forget that the anime rlly doesn't elaborate on alot. The order ur suggesting only rlly works when you watch after having played the VN. That's why most ppl who start with the anime agree that Zero is the bets starting point, not because 'ooh flashy animation' lmao. I agree that 2006 is still important to watch, but only if ur already invested, otherwise the viewing experience is so miserable that having it be the first impression of the series must suck.

Ougi

The heavens feel movies almost need the added context from Zero given how much is left out of the movies ngl

Gavern

It spoils three things about Heavens Feel in the first episode alone. By the end of the show it's well over a dozen things it spoils for all three routes. You aren't supposed to know the whole history the characters when you go into FSN. It's very much built to be a mystery around most of them. Also Zero is the prequel, and prequels aren't 'spoiled' by watching the main series. This is the one hill I will die on as an anime fan. I watched Zero first way back when, and I regret it. It creates a false impression of what the Fate series is, and sets expectations for certain things to be relevant when instead they get completely ignored. Also I am just plain starved to see a reactor save Zero for last, because there is literally none out there. They always leave it to polls, and Zero always wins because it was most people's first exposure to Fate.

Gavern

The 'added context' is full on spoilers you aren't supposed to know.

C

Zero cannot be spoiled by Fate/stay night. Fate/Zero is "prequel" (more a spin-off) that presupousses that you already have read Fate/stay night. And plays with that premise in his own story. To begin with, Zero was released in 2006 while Fate/stay night was released on 2004. It’s imposible for Fate/stay night to give spoilers of Zero. Because it was never meant to be spoilers. Also, Zero give spoilers of almost every major twist and mystery of Fate/stay night. And this is no exaggeration. Zero throw spoilers of FSN as nothing. Because as I said, it presupousses that the viewer have already watch or read Fate/stay night. Finally, the myth that Fate/stay night cannot be understood without Zero. No, FSN can be perfectly understood by his own. That’s because it have 3 routes to explore the themes and characters. And that’s why is important to watch the routes in order. Fate->UBW->HF. Zero doesn’t improve anything because it was never considered in this story structure. In fact, is actually the other way around. Knowing Fate/stay night let you enjoy Zero more. Because you can get what the author was trying to tell and do with the story. And how he plays with the viewer comming into this after FSN.

HopelesslyImmersed

They're not gonna remember the specifics of Zero by the time they make it to heavens feel. Plus they'll have more context for UBW

HopelesslyImmersed

My preference is Zero>UBW>Heavens Feel>Strange Fake Zero would give them a lot of context to the world. They'll be able to fully enjoy UBW, and then learn of the alternate events of HF, and finally Strange Fake which has been absolutely fire all the way.

Gavern

I mean, starting with the 2006 series fan edits would give them all the context they need. Here is everything that episode 1 of Zero spoils, I'll keep them vague though: The true Identity of Saber Family relations of a few characters The existence of a bald old man And several other spoilers I can't even make vague The rest of the show has many more spoilers for all three routes, such as: The existence of a character who doesn't show up til then end of the first route and midway through the other two Who exactly some of the masters are in the current war Who killed whom Who are the main villains And even more I can't be vague about These aren't small specifics, they are major plot points in Zero, and they are all treated as mysteries and big reveals in the main series.

C

Yeah, There’s no way they will forget the specifics of THAT thing that is important for HF and Zero spoils as if it’s nothing. And Gavern didn’t even mention ALL the spoilers that Zero gives. And UBW contextualize his own ideas. Like, the idea of the route is exploring those themes and why things are like that. It never needed Zero for that, and Zero really don’t add to the experience in my opinion. More like Zero spoils why he is like that. Thing that is more a revelation of FSN.

Gavern

Zero is a spin-off/prequel. It should never be watched before the main series now that each route has an anime, it spoils way too much. Though the fan-edits should be used for the 2006 series. Fate/Stay Night (2006) *fan-edit -> Unlimited Blade Works -> Heavens Feel trilogy -> Fate Zero is the best watch order to avoid spoilers, and to let the big reveals stay big reveals.

Renden

Bocchi probably will. It's consistently on the upper half of the polls, and it's often nominated. Fun fact: Bocchi has gotten 7th place 4 out of the 6 times it's appeared in a poll.

HopelesslyImmersed

They're watching an episode a week. They're not gonna retain all the lore as if they're binging it. Also no lol, I want W&S to bask on peak animation and well directed script. Both things that the 2006 adaptation failed at. The fact that it needs a fan edit to be enjoyed speaks a lot about how mediocre it is considered by fate fans. I find it funny that you think W&S will catch a spoiler as they actively watch the show. The only reason you know something is spoiled is because you already know the entire progression of the series. Watching Zero first will enhance the experience for them. But hey its just a difference in opinion. Can't wait for the poll. The collective knows the best order starts with the prequel :>

Gavern

Look at my reply to your other comment. There is a lot of major spoilers that you aren't supposed to know going into the main series. It isn't lore, it's stuff like knowing who Saber is, and the existence of a main villain who doesn't show up til half way through any of the routes.

HopelesslyImmersed

Idk what to tell you, I had no issues watching it on that order and neither did a bunch of others. I know what im picking on the poll when it drops. Good luck :)

Gavern

I watched it in that order, and I had all sorts of problems with it. None of the mystery or reveals landed like they were supposed to because I had been spoiled by Zero.

Gavern

There's no reason to not keep things polite.

Runhua Tang

I'm a casual Fate Fan, and I've only watched Zero and UBW. I think a lot of casual watchers share the same experience as me. I think W&S should set up a poll to pick one of just these two. Personally I think watching UBW first is a better idea, even though Zero happens before UBW.

HopelesslyImmersed

I am lol. I don't agree with what you're saying, we have a difference in opinion and we'll both pick different options on the poll . Nothing wrong with that. I said that i didn't see a problem with my watch order and you did. Making it a you problem. No ill intent, just pointing it out.

Zak

well i certainly never felt that at all when watching zero first. And the truth is ... zero is just better.

Zak

most of the drama in fate/zero doesn't work if you know who lives to show up at a later date. and no, zero does not spoil the rest of it

DFrench125

this guy has said the same thing on every other post expecting people to all of a sudden feel different lol. I personally also think Zero is just a better starting point.

Gavern

Just trying to get people to see my point of view. I understand my opinion is the less popular one, but I'm just trying to change minds the best I can. There is not a single reactor who saved Zero for last, and now that my favorite reactors are starting Fate I'm doing what I can to at least get them to see it in the order I think is best from a storytelling perspective. Sorry if Im overenthusiastic about it, but this is the one thing I ever really argue about.

C

In the first place, the "Zero should be watched after FSN" is not even an opinion. It’s a fact. How the FSN story is structured and how Zero play with being a prequel that should be watched after are immovable facts. The release dates are other thing that cannot be argued. FSN released in 2004, Zero released in 2006. Also Zero doesn’t improve anything in FSN. Since FSN is the trilogy that can stand by itself. The only thing that Zero does is giving insane spoilers. And maybe for you guys knowing everything from the start could be an "improvement". But for FSN that is an action and a mystery, having all the twists shatterrd is a detriment more than something good.

HopelesslyImmersed

@DFrench125 Yeah I noticed after you mentioned it. Comes off kinda desperate and pushy imo. Having a different opinion apparently warrants debating to make you feel your way of enjoying something is wrong. I get why they're doing it, but the unpopular opinion is unpopular for a reason. But we'll see on the poll I guess :/

Gavern

Sorry that I come off as desperate and pushy. I'm just trying to advocate for what is in my opinion, one of the better stories in anime, to not to be spoiled by what is for all intents and purposes, a spin-off.

C

The guy is debating respectfully and you’re calling him desperate :/. Also he is not saying that your way of enjoying things is wrong. He is debating the opinion with facts because starting with Zero have a lot of problems that have already been put on the table. Doesn’t mean you personally cannot do whatever you want and enjoy however you want. So chill. For my part part I will stop commenting on this since it seems you guys find it obnoxious. So please let’s maintain the respect.

HopelesslyImmersed

Lol why am I being subjected into debating bro?. Just stated my preference and then suddenly "The guy" (lol why not use Gavern) starts writing paragraphs on why its wrong to watch it that way. Not just me either, several similar comments, one sidedly pushing his ideology onto any comment he disagrees with. That is disrespectful. Just post your comment with your preference and let it be

Gavern

I mean, making ourselves heard is kind of how fans of wanting to save Zero for last have to go about it. Zero unilaterally wins every single reactor poll as the starting point for Fate. And fans that want to start with Zero never want to actually debate because they are sitting comfortably on the 'winning' side of the argument. It very much always devolves into 'stop arguing, you've lost'. Sorry if you feel I'm being disrespectful though, was never my intention.

HopelesslyImmersed

Express your opinion and let others deal with it. You're absolutely allowed to enjoy what you love, not everyone has to agree with what you say and that's fine.

HopelesslyImmersed

Push against the current as much as you like, people aren't here to debate, just sharing their preferences for the upcoming poll. If every reactor reacted the same way, what does that say about the order? That its established as the best way to watch the series by the masses. The argument writes itself.

Temojikato

Can you explain why y'all put strrange fake in this lineup? Why include that one, but not Apocrypha or the movies or anything?

HopelesslyImmersed

Those are the 4 fates I've watched. Aside from the poorly adapted 2006 version. I added Strange fake along because im currently watching it and some related characters make an appearance or are referenced. Strange fake doesn't have to be there since it isn't a closely related to the other 3, but its definitely a must watch given the animation and how chaotic it is. Besides, all that content is a LOT. Trying to be respectful towards W&S on how much Fate they have to watch. The main idea behind my suggestion is them enjoying those 4 before moving on to another series

ginta2109

Not sure if you guys are GOT people but really think you would love “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”, and would be great for reaction content

Tim Tim

I think many of people will say kinda same things like I will.. So, if we talk about order of what happened first, it's zero, and after there is stay night/Ubw/movies. They all happen in same time after zero, but are parallel to each other, different time-lines you could say. You could watch every one of them if you'll really like fate and wonder "what if main character did this instead of that..", or just one is fine too, I would personally recommend UBW or movies, not stay night. And later, if you'd like Fate as series, you could watch endless other parts of it (they happen at different parts of history), for example Grand Order or Apochrypha. (I think you'd like this series actually) And my personal opinion again.. Many say UBW/movies should be watched first, because Zero is the prequel, but I watched Zero first and had a great time

David

I have no idea why people are allergic to watching stuff in the way they are created. FSN was the original story, Zero is a spin off. Every single series with a watch order has so many people wanting to watch stuff in chronological order even if it doesen't make sense.

Htatki

Simple reason. Original FSN is shit. Only Fate autist want people to sit through that just to "complete the route"

AL

Agree with this, I personally would start with Zero and then make my way over to the rest Zero is a good prequel and works as a good set up and understanding for what comes next

Just Mav

Initially i was curious To watch Fate alongside W&S here, since i Had it on my list for a Long time, but seeing how toxic the Fate Community is To each Other, Just about the watch order, i'm Not Sure If i wanna be a Part of it. :x i usually Like To read comments too, but i guess i'll have To expect some complaining there.

Gavern

By the time they have picked a watch order and started the show up, the arguing will have died down. The only thing we really argue about is where to start, and when they've already started, there won't be anything to argue about anymore.

HAL 9000

When you guys eventually watch Jojo, I would highly recommend watching it on animepahe with an adblocker because the crunchyroll version has worse animation and changes for copyright. Also, there is a 4 episode miniseries I would recommend after Part 4

Cat Huang

i like two out of the three shows here 😳 i consider this a win!

Mario

Watch food wars the anime it’s amazing

D B

Oh my god, we get all three??? That's awesome! I was really hoping for Dr. Stone, glad we're getting it!
