This will be this season’s 1x26 The Height of Magic in terms of battle/sakuga/WOW flash spectacle. And the same key animator/director of this episode directed and key animated the first season’s 1x9 the Linie-Stark and Lugner-Fern episode. Dude’s a GOAT as he also did last week’s JJK, worked on CSM S1 and Reze arc, Mob Psycho, Heavenly Delusion OP, just tons of amazing stuff. The perspective and angles in Frieren fights are amazing. Since the show is usually pretty laid back and kinda slice of life, I think the fights stand out even more when they actually happen and feel really impressive because of the rapid change in pace and overall heavier atmosphere. Also, Methode is a beast! It seemed like she didn’t even try that hard, lol. Her character and attitude are very similar to Frieren and Fern, I would say. She would actually be a good match for the party. Too bad Fern doesn’t like to share :D

Frieren is such a miracle. A fantastic source material meeting such a stellar adaptation. Only problem with the Frieren anime is that we don't have enough episodes yet. I need more.

Did Genau use his jacket to try to save Stark? It looks like he did (he doesnt have his jacket when Methode first tried to heal him and stark has it wrapped around him)

How is Frieren so good at creating memorable characters with minimal screen time? I want a spinoff anime/manga with all the characters the anime introduces.

Been a fan of you guys since you were reacting to the vlog squad or Wes was doing solo reacts on stream! 😂😂 I loved your peaky blinders reactions soo much and i would love for you (of course when you get time) to react to more tv shows other than anime i recommend Top boy (about gangs in London very eye opening about what British life is like for some, very amazing acting and very realistic and has you on the edge of your seat in the same way peaky blinders does!

Shows that animate scenes with a fast moving "camera" always amaze me. Because obviously there isn't really a "camera" to move around, so all the perspectives were just constructed by the animators with pure imaginations, which is so hard to do if you think about it.

Yeah, that's how I saw it. We saw Genau crawling and struggling to reach Stark before the scene transition. So I think it was implied he used the last of his strength to bandaged Stark as best as he could.

I really don't like Fern. Shes way too selfish. The whole party might die next fight without aid (I know they won't but they could).

Huge props to whoever directed this episode. The fight scene perspectives especially ones in the Revolt vs Genau & Stark make you feel like you're in the fight as well. We only have two more episodes left. I hope there's going to be a second cour. The next arc after this is going to be more epic.

As a tabletop RPG player of many years, I can say with confidence that Stark is the ideal for warrior-type classes. If your Barbarian, Fighter, or Paladin does not pull up like him, you have a lot of self reflection to do.

23:59 regarding Revolte being "weird" cuz he yapped a lot remember Flamme teaching Frieren about demon's nature, society, and how it functions? 1. they want to show off (their mana). in this case, skill as a swordsman how would they show off? same as mage would, win in a "fair" fight fair for mage is not to hide mana fair for swordsman is to duel which would include introducing themselves "fair" as in knowing they'll win getting into the fight Lugner interrogated Fern, Linie explained her skill, Draht told Frieren he's there to kill her pretty much no other reason than to assert dominance Aura yapped a lot too. i think Revolte talked less compared to others 2. to gather info. as shown, Revolte utilizes info like guarding dead, protecting young 3. to manipulate. saying how Genau's partner died, and then saying check the survivors 4. to buy time or to create an opening
