15:55 Kiritsugu only used one of those bullet. The first one was a normal bullet, it just passed the mage's defense because it had a lot of more kinetic energy than his machine gun: it wasn't magic, just a bigger caliber. Kiritsugu did this so that El-Melloi defend the next attack from this gun, pouring even more magic in his defense. This time, El-Melloi stopped the bullet, but it destroyed his magic circuits as it was the special one. It was Kiritsugu's plan. edit: It's normal you can't quite get the mindset of some characters, especially Kirei, since it wasn't meant to be the first Fate you see. You miss a part of the story. That being said, it should become more apparent gradually.

I always thought it's cause he was using autonomous defense from that mercury ball thing so his origin bullet didnt have an effect the 1st time, and then the 2nd time, he put his own mana into the defense, and a lot of it at that, which wasted him. Are you a VN reader or is that your interpretation too? cause im curious what really happened.

I'm a vn reader, but it's been a long time (I've read it only once, before the anime was released) so I'd lie if I said I'm sure of it specifically. From my memory, the origin bullet would have had an effect but just less if there's less mana involved. And more importantly, Kiritsugu wouldn't waste one of his precious origin bullets. I'm like "mostly" sure of it, but if I find where I put the digitalized novels on my old computer I'll check. I can't garantee I'm right. Edit: I managed to check, it's as I said. Only one origin bullet was fired.

my read on kiritsugu and mayas relationship is that its not one sided but maya is morso family to kiritsugu while mayas feelings are more romantic, kiritsugu basically raised maya if i remember right

Wes' take on kotomine kirei is spot on. From the start kirei was interested in kiritsugu because he felt they were similar (empty).

While Diarmuid did end up marrying Grainne and loving her the reason he ran away with her in the first place was because of a geas that she used against him to force him to do so (geas are basically sermant or promise that you must not break under any circumstance and are often reason why Irish hero and other legends derived from them ended up dying or put in big troubles in their story)

Not sure if you know but some scenes are censored, that hideout scene should've shown some brutal things, but unfortunately, Crunchyroll decided to use the censored TV version instead of the uncensored Blu-Ray version (there is some cut content important for certain episodes)

so ive always thought of assassins move here like this, they were waiting to watch Rider fight Caster and learn his attacks but when it turned out caster wasnt there they decided to just take a shot at killing the master. They were too confident and didnt think Rider would see it coming and deflect. Maybe theyre all killers who havent been allowed to do much but scout so they got over eager???
