W One Piece

Super Gamer Q

Imagine if Luffy wasn't Enel's natural enemy, he would beat most opponents, this is like Mahito from JJK facing the few people who could even hurt him

Hayate

The face Enel made when he learned Luffy was immune has been a huge meme the past 20 years haha. Also, I guess they're never going to watch openings. A bit sad :(

humphrey-t-humphrington

I think he's saying why me when he gets hit by the waver because earlier in the arc nami did the same thing

Nostalgino MO

stereotypically violent native wyper is done finally , badass wyper is here, also nice one wes "conductivly" good one, you guys watched one punch man and mob psycho? boro from one punchman can definetly defeat everyone in one piece,

Nostalgino MO

enel finding out luffy is his natural enemy gives me goosebumb everything, and for these few arcs titles are fine but they 100% must be avoided after the next 3 arcs , because they will have major spoilers

The Anime Dude

I feel like it’s very common for gods in media to be portrayed as “whimsical”, and I feel like that’s a good word to describe Enel too. You’re not wrong in saying that a lot of it does just seems to be whatever would be amusing for him.

LurkLum

Not sure if anyone has said it yet, but Enel's ring of drums implanted into his back which he presumably replaced his wings with is a reference to the Japanese thunder deity Raijin. In Japanese mythology, Raijin would strike the drums to create thunder.

The Anime Dude

There is an arc called G8 after Sky Island, it’s filler, so am not sure if it’s included in One Pace or not, but I do think that it’s some of the best filler out there, fun & worth the watch, haha. Either way y’all have made it so far into One Piece so far & yet barely scratched the surface! Fun stuff!

Gelondil

I mentioned it before, but they may have forgotten. :D

Mario Prime Plays

Yeah naw. The blue sea is a terrible place lol. First just the going down to the blue sea will kill 99% of the population, like whose going to survive the fall. Second, your now sister island is Mock Town - Jaya. It's a pirate infested town with people like Belamy or Blackbeard. Not to mention the forest of monstrosities. Then there's the knockup stream that sent Upper Yard there in the first place. Whose to say they wouldn't plop back down and then get shot back up again.

Gelondil

Steph is right, Meruem would mop the floor with Enel. Meruem's En is directly comparable to Enel's Mantra. Factoring in Meruem's vastly superior intelligence and perception, and he could probably read Enel better than Enel reads Luffy. That's if he even bothered. Meruem can probably just tank anything Enel can throw at him anyway, with barely a scratch. The only real advantage Enel has is incorporeality, but we've seen that be countered in multiple ways in both universes. As long as Meruem can find a means to hit Enel, it's over in one punch. But remember - we're only 10% of the way through the story. Even current readers/viewers don't yet know what peak power scaling is in One Piece.

Billbob

Think one clarification thatd help with some of this stuff is that when they say "Vearth" it would be better understood to be more like the "dirt/ground" meaning of "Earth" rather than strictly being the surface that you guys keep thinking its restricted to. So even though the chunk of island the shandians practically worship is made of Vearth and came from the blue sea, Enel is specifically looking for a place of legends that has "infinite/endless Vearth". Otherwise yeah, if he simply just wanted to go down to the blue sea he couldve jumped down safely years ago

NoSoupRice

honestly idk if he's even gonna last long in the grand line even if he does succeed in his plan in going there

Keshav Krishnakumar

it's not directly included but there is a "G-8 Cut" version of skypeia on one pace which includes a smooth transition to the G-8 arc for people who would want to watch it. they've only done this for G-8 because it's a beloved filler and i also think they should watch it even if its not technically canon!!

Courage

Hopefully they skip so they can get to W7 faster

Super Gamer Q

Yeah but does he want to go to the grand line? We just know his dream is the Endless Vearth, and the Grand Line is clearly filled with ocean...

Super Gamer Q

yeah endless vearth can't possibly be the Grand Line or the Blue Sea, the ground isn't endless and it's hardly where Enel thinks God should be

Super Gamer Q

What I find very funny is that the One Piece and HXH verses are not known to be very powerful even at the highest peak of strength, especially for anime, even from the shows they watched they didn't mention those characters far stronger (e.g. One Punch Man, Reinhard, Mob, Jinwoo)

Krymsunn

“It’s like articuno but with lighting instead of ice”😂😂

halastair

I would love if you watched one pace episode 25 alternative cut for G-8 and then watched episodes 196-206 of original one piece for G-8 since I am going to watch in that order :) The one filler arc that is really rewarding to watch as far as I heard :)

Billbob

Yeah, G-8 was good for a filler arc but considering we have that+foxy thatd be over a month until they get the W7 that a lot more people are hyped for. The filler was funny and added a bit more discussing the merry repair stuff but idk if thats worth for reactors who still have years worth of content to get through before that time slots freed up

The Anime Dude

fair, I have no strong opinions either way on if they should watch it or not. if other people would prefer they skip then won’t bother me any.

Danny

I want what you’re smoking. Enel is way to fast for meruem. Meruem was moving across the palace in an instant, Enel was moving across islands in an instant.

Gelondil

@Danny this isn't a race, it's a war. Speed isn't the only factor. We see Luffy land multiple blows on Enel, and Luffy doesn't have a tiny fraction of Meruem's speed, or Enel's. Any one of those same blows from Meruem would have killed Enel instantly. That's kinda the end of the argument there. Also, suggesting someone is smoking is an entirely disrespectful way of disagreeing with a person's opinion. If you want to continue to debate rationally, feel free, but I have no more to say if you continue to be derisive.

Gelondil

Yeah, the whole Blue Sea isn't all bad, but landing right below Skypeia means landing in the Grand Line, and that's just a hard NO.

Gavern

Did someone really tell them not to read the titles? They are labeled on the episodes, and show up as big text in the episodes.

mogeki

unironically, one piece power scaling is insanely high. people underestimate the verse because of how silly the story can be, but you are literally in the arc where characters like usopp and nami start outpacing hunter x hunter top tiers. and this is nowhere near any of the main cast's peak in the slightest.

Michael H

@Danny I mean, Meruem was keeping up with Netero’s attacks which were basically instantaneous, and that was before his massive power boost at his peak. Plus, it ultimately just wouldn’t matter since Meruem is tanky beyond all reason; even if he couldn’t dodge Enel’s attacks, I can’t see them doing much damage to him.

Michael H

Conis pulling out that bazooka right as she’s about to get taken out is one of the most unexpectedly badass scenes in One Piece

Alvaro Vesga

dandadan reference in one piece lolgreat reaction as always!

CT

idk if anybody already said... we kinda saw if luffy was immune to electricity (or at least a hint of it?) WAY back in loguetown was when only buggy was affected when lightening struck on the platform 😜 ik it's too long ago to remember, but just mentioning it haha 😜
