Two of my three biggest friends in middle school were still my friends during high school (the third one moved out of state). My experience was really different because I was insulated from most of the bullying because I hung out with nerds mostly and we didn’t care that much about being cool. And I wasn’t really interested in boys until high school. Looking back on this show makes me really happy to have been a late bloomer. I keep thinking “wow glad I didn’t have to deal with that.” I remember my younger sister being really stressed with being cool in middle school and I felt bad for her.
