I just wanted to finally say Hi on the patreon side of things! I'm the one that commented on an early YouTube video that I decided to watch this show because I saw that you were going to watch it. I then binge watched the whole thing in less than a week! Then I finally got around to joining your Patreon by about episode 4 of season 1. This episode really points out that no one is safe, and just about everyone in the space program is a hero in their own way.

I didn't expect Gordo and Tracy's death to hit you that hard! It was kinda mean for them to tease us with whether they made it. It's hard to remember how I felt about it the first time I watched this, but it does seem like a natural conclusion to their story arcs. Kinda surprising with all the money they've thrown at the Moon in this timeline that they don't have communications satellites in lunar orbit to prevent that comm blackout for craft on the far side.

It's really interesting that they have real historical figure Sally Ride play such a pivotal role in the climax here. From what I've read Ellen's character was based on her in the first place; both being one of the first women in space, who were forced to stay closeted for the sake of their careers.

Thank you so much! I remember, I was blown away by your YouTube comment. Yeah, Gordo and Tracy not having plot armor really sets the stakes incredibly high moving forward.
