While I cannot disclose the details of the relationship between the characters John and Ygritte, I can share that the actors portraying them eventually got married in real life.

Even though I've seen the first season and the final season, these are now episodes that I'm watching for the first time along with you. I think this is my favorite episode so far. It's the first time I felt that I truly cared for what each main character was going through, and now I'm totally invested. Like you, I love seeing the king that Robb has become, and it was great to finally see him flash that beautiful smile! I also think we should start calling you The Spice King, though honestly, with all your coffee drinking (and spilling) I'm more inclined to call you Lorelai.

Only other thing I've seen Stannis' actor in was as Jefferson in the John Adams HBO miniseries. I thought that miniseries was incredible, as pretty much all HBO originals had been up to that point, but more importantly the behind the scenes blew my mind. A huge percentage of the show was special effects for shots that at the time I would never have thought used any at all. They showed how they could close off one block of colonial-era buildings in modern-day Boston with 20-foot-tall walls of green screen, and seamlessly paint in the entire rest of the city as it looked in 1776. The kind of thing you guys were very impressed with in Mrs. Maisel, but 9 years earlier. And seeing those behind the scenes videos around the time a lot of the same people started working on an HBO adaptation of one of my favorite book series in Game of Thrones, I was so hyped, and that hype was rewarded.

You just met Kit Harington (Jon Snow)'s wife in real life, Rose Leslie playing Ygritte.

Remember how much we hated The Hound at the beginning of this?

I've heard amazing things about that show. Plus I love Paul Giamatti. I should check that out eventually

heheheheheh

I worked at a famous members club in London from 2013 - 2015 as a cocktail bartender, and during my time met some very big name celebrities there, including half of the GoT cast in various times. One evening it was Michael Fassbender and the actor of Robb Stark hanging out together, once Gwendoline Christie ordered a cocktail with lavender from me :) She's gorgeous but indeed a very statuesque woman. This other time I was working at one of the rooftop bars there and I wasn't feeling it that day, so I didn't offer table service - just come and get your drinks at the bar. I'm looking down as this pair of legs appear in front of me and very politely a voice asks "Excuse me, could i get two beers for me and my brother over there?" I look up and it's Kit Harrington (Jon Snow). Me and almost every other girl at the time had a big time crush on him, so I beamed p at him and said "Of course, let me bring it to your table!" Haha, unfortunately that little trick didn't get his attention, although he was very sweet and polite. Quite short, just a little taller than me. A few months later, my housemate (who makes films) was at an 80s themed house party and was fixing himself a drink, when this red haired girl in a colourful 80s style onesie comes up and strikes up a small talk conversation. A few moments later Kit Harrington, also decked in 80s wear, rocks up and puts a hand around her waist. The girl was Rose Leslie and that's how I fouund out I got no chance :') This is before they were public.

WOW, I've never been more jealous in my life. The people you must have met there. I would have been starstruck to say the least.

heheheheheh

Yeah, I've met Jay Z (it was the afterparty of his 2013 world tour) and once JJ Abrams was working on Star Wars there - i'm a huge Star Wars nerd so I walked up and striked up a conversation (something I tried not to do very much) - he even showed me a few story boards and tipped very generously.
