It is funny that you put this as an action film, when the reality is that it is a romcom, just with a lot of explosions. In fact, it is one of the best romcoms I have ever seen, and a murder mystery really is the perfect complication for a romcom. This movie is soooooo good.

Peter

You should definitely watch Atomic Blonde. It is amazing!!!!

Peter

This movie is probably the hottest Ryan Gosling has ever been. The cinematographer, and hair, makeup, and costume departments were very good to him.

Peter

This film is set in Australia because New South Wales was offering a tax credit to film on location there. Fall Guy barely attempts to cover up that it was obviously written to take place in LA. Anyone But You also was only set in Australia for the tax credit, but it at least tried to have Australia specific scenes.

Peter

The car roll on the beach has the world record for most rolls ever preformed at 8.

Peter

It is really funny that Jody wants him to keep things "super profesh" when she aired out their entire relationship in front of the entire crew and filmed it.

Peter

Jody is wearing an alien hand the whole way through the split screen to show how alienated she is from Colt. Which is fun addition to the split screen, which they expressly explain in the film.

Peter

Luckily that costume must have a lot of padding considering at one point Jody is literally strangling him with a garrote.

Peter

Colt definitely couldn't feel a pulse through those giant gloves.

Peter

This movie flopped in the theater. But it is destined to be a cult classic. It is so unbelievably good.

One of my faves of the year, truly, and I cold not be more sad that it did so poorly box office-wise. It's such a love letter to stunt performers (who are WAY overdue for awards recognition), and I think they used just the right amount of nostalgia for the original TV show. (*chef's kiss*)

Action, romance, comedy. It’s a fun movie that can appeal to a wide audience.

There are actors who I tend to kind of "trust" that they'll pick good roles, and Gosling is one of the most recent ones. However, I truly would probably not have watched this unless you guys checked it out. Reminds me a bit of another great/underrated movie of his (and Russell Crowe) - The Nice Guys. One of the funniest movies ever and so good even on rewatches. Also apparently Russel Crowe said he is well known for not breaking character, to the point he said Ridley Scott yelled at him at times when filming Gladiator.....but he said that Ryan Gosling would make him break on The Nice Guys the most of anybody ever lol.

The Fall Guy TV show was great! My sis and I used to watch it when we were little kids in the 80s too. This movie has been on my “to watch” list for far too long so it was great to have you two put it back on my radar. What a fun movie from start to finish! Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go listen to “Against All Odds” on repeat.

I need to watch The Nice Guys. I have talked to people who said it is so good, it should get a sequel (high praise in this day).
