Ummm...Just Fred Willard?

Wall-E being reset to factory default was crushing. Even in 2008 before we put everything on our phones.

the beauty of WALL-E was that he changed everyone he came in contact with. EVE, the Captain, the two passengers, MO, the band of misfit robots, the WALL-A's in the trash area. He changed them all for the better.

the movie wall-e watches is "Hello, Dolly!", a classic, well loved musical <3 Would you guys ever be interested in watching musicals on here? I see you don't do it often x

I would LOVE to watch musicals. The only issue is copyright. Studios are incredibly touchy about their copyrighted music.

hmmm, very true! i can imagine that would be difficult

Very much agree on Toy Story 3 being a perfect ending from which we didn't need more, but 4 was quite a good movie still. My memory of this movie is loving the first half (before we see any humans) much more than the second half, but the second half has really grown on me. Sigourney Weaver doing the voice of the computer is so much funnier after seeing Galaxy Quest.

Could you get around the copyright issues if you did musicals as only a "Patreon exclusive"? Or is it not worth the time and effort if you can't post them on Youtube?

I watched this as a kid and really liked it but rewatching it now as an adult is.. incredibly depressing. Not even because of the subject matter (which is even more relevant and ominous today than in it was in 2008) but bc I can’t really imagine Disney or any animation studio making a film like this today..

It's almost like two different movies but it works! The tone and vibe shift. This was so freaking cool to experience. I really can't stop thinking about it.

I completely agree. No animation studio would and if they did it would most likely be for adults. It would be straight to streaming or a limited series. This is one of the most visually striking animated films I've seen. We don't need a sequel to it or a reboot but we do need more films in the same vein.

if you guys wanna watch some easy, funny, quick musicals, you should check out Starkid Productions! They’re a group that make comedy musicals and post them fully, for free, on youtube (and never copyright their music) - they have a very avid fanbase and despite their smaller budgets, really excel in creating quality shows. If you ever wanna experiment with something a bit different on the channel - definitely recommend. Their most recent venture is a trilogy of musicals starting with ‘the guy who didn’t like musicals’ - a horror comedy that’s a great introduction to their style!

I may be reading way too deep into it, but as someone with OCD I relate really, really hard with MO. When I'm in hyperfixation mode I become oblivious to the world around me, sometimes to a detrimental degree. It's nice to see that someone (or...somerobot) can be like that and still make friends!
