So what did you find most shocking this episode - Jaime losing a hand, or what a legend Pod the Rod has turned out to be ? 😜 But seriously though, the war has taken quite a toll on Jaime - he's already spent a year sitting in his own waste, and now he's lost the one thing he values most in the world - his sword hand. And if he's not a swordsman anymore, then what's left really ? He swore off land, marriage and children to become a Kingsguard, and now he can't fight.

Jaime’s - whatever the opposite of a heel turn is - here, and then losing his hand is so huge. One of the most consequential things in the show so far that isn’t a major battle.

I knew from the books that Jaime loses his hand here, but the way that ending was cut plus the outro music was so weird. I was watching it with a group of friends, I didn't know it would happen in this episode and they didn't know it would happen at all, so they were asking me if that was even real, because again the outro music setting such a weird tone. The Pod thing is also just super weird. I guess it's just supposed to be a joke that this kid turns out to be this sex god but I never got where the punchline was. Brynden Tully, the Blackfish, Catelyn's uncle, is another of my favorite less major characters. He's the one who finally made the shot to light the funeral boat for his older brother Hoster Tully, Cat's dad. Edmure Tully, Catelyn's little brother, the guy who missed that shot, isn't one of my favorite characters... but great casting with Tobias Menzies who was also excellent in Rome, Outlander, and The Terror. Remember when Arya and by extension we the audience hated Hot Pie at the end of the first season?

I love that we've come around on Hot Pie. Just a misunderstood kid. Yeah Pod being an absolute legend in the sack was such an out of pocket moment. Jaime losing his hand might be one of the most shocking things I've seen on tv.

It definitely felt that way while watching. It's not like the dude doesn't deserve it but I still really felt for him.

So he's really going to have a crisis of faith, I can't wait to see where this leads. Also Pod the Rod. That's freaking hilarious

Winterfell, as every other sites in the opening credits BTW, are shown as they are at the moment. That will be until the end of the series. And as explained before, you should really put attention to the regions shown in the credits ;-) . You've missed Riverrun (where Katelyn's father funeral happened) as a new place visited this episode.

The small council scene has shown all their power moves. Littlefinger going first getting closer to Tywin, Cersei going close to her father, and Tyrion positioning himself in front of his father.

All your questions are legit... but there's absolutely NO WAY to not spoil things for you if we even try to answer. If I may suggest, continue with your self-questioning and analysis at the end of the show, but don't ask anymore answers to these questions. Up until the later seasons (7-8... and even just 8), there's no plot line that stay unanswered. Just be patient, like we all had to do when the show was airing. It's a much better feeling when you have the reveal afterwards. I will definitely refer to this episode in later installments, in regards to all of your questions. I'll just do it when the reveal arrives, and then go with "You remember the episode when XYZ happened, well here's where it pays off" If not, it's just to easy to spoil something without intent when we try to answer your questions at the end ;-) But again, enjoy the ride!

I caught it, during the opening. I just don't always make mention of the new locations. Plus I was wondering about the state of it going forward.
