Enjoyed this reaction, guys, thanks. I saw an interesting piece recently about the period at Pixar immediately post-Toy Story 1, in which they got together to discuss what movies they could make moving forward, because their rendering of the human form was rather ‘uncanny valley’ at the time. They brainstormed things that could work - monsters, robots, fish, bugs, cars - and that was their next few movies. I love how this shows that working within strict parameters can still be groundbreaking.

The musical clip is from "Hello, Dolly." This is my favorite Pixar film. It's amazing how much emotion and humanity they get out of two robots who barely speak!

I agree, every single thing that we've seen from them I have enjoyed. It just makes me feel so good. I love how the quality of films go up with each release as well.

Oh also! I’m not a huge animation fan but I’m not ashamed to admit that I wept all the way through this in the cinema, and I think a huge reason was the soundtrack, which is so so so beautiful. Thomas Newman knocked this one out of the park imo.
